well it blocks cortisol , a catabolic hormone released under stress
and ,yes weight training is a form of stress and, a large amount is released during and after a workout .now roids will stop this shit in its tracks but, if your not on roids PS "for short" will block a great deal of cortisol. reports are around the 30% mark cortisol is the exact reverse of test ,test helps to build muscle cortisol tears it down the faster its stoped , the sooner you can grow .i first heard of this about 9 years ago but it never took off in the bodybuilding world because prohormones just burst on the sceen and, thats where all the talk went now PS is back sounds good so far dont it well there is more , this was said by Dr.pariss m kidd a ps researcher

Phosphatidylserine, or PS, is a naturally occurring, phospholipid nutrient. PS is essential to the functioning of all the cells of the body, but is most concentrated in the brain. Its relative abundance in this organ reflects its proven involvement in an assortment of nerve cell functions, including nerve transmitter release and synaptic activity. Clinical studies have suggested that PS can support brain functions that tend to decline with age. Until recently, PS was only available from animal sources (brain), and occurred in commercial lecithins only in trace amounts; however, a plant source for PS has now been developed. in other words brain food , i could go on and make this a 500 word post but,ive given enough info for you to research it futher or give it a try also, if your on gear when you come off cortisol is high this may be of some help in keeping that hard earned muscle

If not bridging, I use PS as an anticatabolic during off cycle.
Its supposed to lower cortisol levels, but as was said will not totally eliminate cortisol. But plenty enough to lower high levels down to managable levels.

Good thread P943, on a seldom discussed, but potentially effective supplement.
 
thx bro now that im a mod on another forum i need to come up with my own research and such i looked into this stuff cause it was out of the norm and i never saw a post on it sorry for my writeing skill or lack of it lol
 
its been shown to reduce cortisol by around 30 % , not bad at all post cycle , when ure looking to control estrogen and cortisol which are going haywire , i first read about this in the Q & A series of charles poliquin , did some reading and have been using it ever since :) .
