I made a thread about 2.5 months ago about doing my first cycle. I posted some pics of me at 6'0 195. My cycle was exactly 8 weeks.

So I did a two months cycle of Sustanon and tren hex. I tapered up and down so that weeks 4-6 were my heaviest. During those two weeks I utilized insulin (10ui humolog) after workouts. Also at the heaviest I was running 500mg sustanon, 300mg tren hex. Needless to say, I made a lot of steady strength gains. My shot put and discus distances were much better than they have ever been.

I loved this cycle and it was all thanks to my brother's advice (who is also my roomate and workout partner). I went from 195 to 227. After being off the sauce for 3 weeks I'm now down to 220 and my muscles look really flat (probably due to low test levels). My PCT regimen is just nolvadex, 20mg a day for 3 weeks.

Anyway, the first two pics are from before my cycle and the rest are post cycle. To give you an idea, my arms went from 15.5in pre-cycle to 18.5in post cycle. These pics were taken today, so I'm not quite as big as I was when I was on cycle. But I figured that it wouldn't show true gains if I used my natural pics to compare to pics when I'm on gear since the muscles get so much fuller.

I feel like forearms kindof dwarf my upper arms though. It makes them look small in comparison.

I realize that I put on some fat, bit it was worth it for sure IMO.

Here are a couple more- I had to get up on the bathroom counter to take these so they aren't too great. Not sure if it shows in the pics but my legs are quite meaty. Definately my best bodypart in terms of strength.

The last pic is my sister. Instead of running on the treadmill like most guys for cardio, I play racketball with her instead. She's the most important thing in my life.

1st Cycle

So much for starting out conservatively. At least you survived and seemed to do very well. I wouldn't try that as a first cycle at home fellow viewers. I always love finding one crazier than me. It just doesn't happen often enough. :rolleyes:

X2 ...Also, I persoanlly like your Pre-cycle look better, I guess its hard to compare since you are taking pics of yourself and we can't see the full body either. But you defiantly put on some size and impressive weight gain for tha ttime frame.

You have been handed some sick genetics, bro...you really don't need that much to gain for future reference.
 
The after pics were pretty poorly taken...You look bigger and leaner in the before ones.

Yea... I had to take these myself as I was helping my grandparents with some stuff they needed done around their house and they have a digital camera. I thought it would be weird to ask them to take these pics...lol

But try comparing the size of the arms and you should see a huge difference. I mean I put 3" on them.

Those pics before pics were taken right after swim season and I've been doing a really heavy bulk for throwing. I do this every year. The more weight that is moving toward the front of the circle means the more force can be put into the shot/discus. I'm an athlete first and a bodybuilder second.

I will take some in the same position as the before ones soon. I'm going to order a camera so give me about a week and a half.

Yea I'm not so sure why everyone is saying that my cycle was super heavy. I've seen guys on here taking more than 3x the amount of AAS that I was. And that dose I gave was only when I was at the heaviest part of my cycle, as I said I tapered up and down.

You definitley made progress and gains. Great work.
 
Using insulin and tren in your first cycle is very aggressive. You could have stuck with the test alone and probably seen the same results. You look good, need to get those legs better conditioned to match the top!

Using insulin and tren in your first cycle is very aggressive. You could have stuck with the test alone and probably seen the same results. You look good, need to get those legs better conditioned to match the top!


Is there some kind of study or evidence that you can point me to? Also my legs are the best part of my body. I'll get you some better pics in a little bit.

Correct, and you were very lean when started. I wish you had better pictures, but your gains are impressive.

The study is the knowledge I have gathered over the past 12 years.

I asked the same question before I started- This was the answer I got. "I don't see why not to use all of the tools at your disposal. I don't think that there is any doubt that test+tren+insulin> test only. Do their mechanisms of action decide that they shouldn't work because it's your first cycle??"

Either way, I can't use your advice unless you supply me with some concrete evidence. It's like a lot of people say around here- Too many cooks will ruin the soup. I follow the advice of my trainer and don't doubt his word unless someone has very solid facts to back up what they say.

You have a very good natural physique, very nice symetry, and muscular. From the stats you did put on a good amount of size and presumably strength.

IMO, you should train natty for a while and try to hold on to as much size as you can but regain the muscularity, you will go a lot further in the sport if you do it that way, besides it will get you in the habbit of looking good all the time.

A lot of the more successful bodybuilders that I know only did maybe 1 small cycle per year when they started, and they continue to make gains eventhough they are well into their 40's.

The doses didn't seem high to me, just the choice of compounds, like the Parabolan, that's usually reserved for competitions only.

But all in all it seems a successful first cycle.
 
I must have not read that properly, there was no need for insulin or anything else like that.

Well I used parabolan for strength. And it worked quite well.

I plan on staying natty for at least the rest of the summer and into the fall probably. I switched to the DC training program. Obviously I won't benefit too much from it now as I'm still in PCT, but I'm looking forward to making good gains on this program. I'm still throwing and I've actually not lost a bit of distance since I came off which to me is a huge win.

You see... I'm not going to mention anyone in particular.

But a lot of guys take pics of themselves not flexed, not pumped, and off juice. Then they go on juice, work out for an hour and flex. Of course they look way bigger!

I tried to keep everything completely consistant. But if you want I can go to the gym and get a pump going today and I will look way bigger. Only problem is I didn't gain any real size!

Actually, I think I'll do that. I just don't understand why you need to come in my thread and try to compare me to other people and start a competition for no reason at all.

I hope you realize that I kept 3 inches on my arms from one two month cycle. Compare the first shot from my first post to the first shot of my new pics.
