Hey everyone what's up - thought I'd post these pics from this years Nationals. I got 10th. I'll be giving them another shot in Nov. Any comments, criticisms, etc. are greatly appreciated.

I may not be the one you were wanting to hear from, but at first glance, I would say to bring up the calves and work on your outer quad sweep. ALso, maybe some lat width and thickness back there. DO you do deads?

Also, what class were you in? I had a friend in the light heavies.

When I first looked at your pictures I was like damn! but noticed your calves are kind of small compared to your arms and your legs have the definition but lack that width.

I think you guys are right -

On the top of my list of needed improvements are back (width and thickness), quad sweep, and calves

Hella Swole - I was in the light heavies too. It was a big class - how did your friend do?

JW,

Well first I must say congrats on getting to the NATS...a lot of people on here would not see that stage in their life time.

Just like stated above...calves, quad sweep, and back. To me it looks as if your waist and thighs are the same thickness when looking from the front...bring out the sweep on those already defined legs and you should place better.

Impressive, keep going!!

He is actually one of my training partners, and he got 15th, he was happy with that though b/c he hadnt touched any gear in 4 years prior to the show. He qualified for nat's at the Mr. Georgia and placed second there...natural. His show weight went up 14 lbs between the GA and nat's and he came in drier at nat's. So he was quite pleased with himself eventhough his placing didn't show.

You looked great my man! Conditioning looks real good. And yes it was a BIG class...wasn't it like 38 competitors or something?? There was definately some tough competition in that class as well as the whole show. Anyways, great job, I am sure you had fun. Good luck to you in the future.

Jason- You looked good at the Nationals. Very peeled! We're in the same class! Great class. What was your weight and how tall are you(no lying!):)

Hella Swole- who was you friend that took second in the light heavies at the GA and what did he place at the Nationals?

Must have been a mistake he wasn't in the Lt. Hvys in the Ga. 2005 or 2004 and place 1 or 2nd. Maybe Hvy.s or Middle???

WOJO fucking rules , this kid looks unreal hes gonna be quite a threat very soon .

Sorry, I just noticed where Hella Swole said he placed 15th there.

Saint- Yeah, I know the guy who placed 2nd in the light heavies at the GA 2005. He trains at BodyPlex in Suwanne.

Well I hate to even say it but I took 2nd in the 2005 open Lt. hvys. and I train at Golds in Kennesaw. I also know the top 2 guys from 2004 so I bet he was a hvy.Does he train at Stacks Gym?

I guess I am referring to the guy who got third then. Dark hair, has facial hair. Nice lines, but needs overall more size since he is about 5'9. I was confused. The guy Hella Swole is talking about was a middleweight at the GA.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Pete - I'm 5'9", which is pretty tall for the LHW class at that level. Most of the guys were 5'5"-5'7". I weighed in at 197 but that was after carbing up a bit, so realistically I probably could have weighed in around 190 depleted.

Depending on how much size I can put on in the offseason, this upcoming year I'll either try and sneak into the LHW class totally depleted and carb my ass off by showtime, or be a smaller HW - if I'm going to be 205ish though, I'll probably just cut down to LHW rather than do HW.

Here are some comparison pics from the show

The height thing does play into the overall projection of the physique. I'm a bit over 5'6. Your conditioning looks great. If you could handle the extra weight and maintain your conditioning then I would make the move up to the heavies. But, you'd better be packing once you step up there with those boys. Get some feedback from some IFBB/National level judges. I would be surprised if they didn't tell you that in time you should make the move.

I was at the Junior's also. That is a nice venue besides not having anything around to eat. As of now Jess and I have three girls heading there in figure so we will be returning. I guess you know Greg J and Shaun C over there in NC? What about Patrick Richardson? He is a super nice guy.

The guy your thinking of is John and he does train in swanee. I think he won the Coastal Lt. Hvy last year also.

Yea, I've been told that for my height I need to be a HW. It's a big jump, but I'm working on it. If not this year, next for sure. I don't want to be a 205 lb heavy - I'll get killed. I think I need to be at least 210 to be competitive.

Patrick is a great guy. Also you might know Mark Jacobs - he's from NC and got his pro card a couple years ago - his wife April turned pro in fitness this year. I know Greg, and me and Shaun roomed together for Nats. He's a freak - it was tough posing in the room next to him!

jason you are peeled bro, you looked great, you know what you need to work on as good as anyone so i won't even open my mouth, your a smart kid with good people in your corner and im expecting great things from YOU bro! now like dante said you need to eat, eat, eat, LOL
hey the guy in the comparison shots, second from the left, i cant remember his name but he got third behind me at jr. nationals, how did he do, he looks like he put on a few extra pounds and got even tighter since jr.'s i expect big things from him too! you two guys have similar physiques.
Good luck in 2006 jason and i'll be keeping an eye on you, hope to see you on stage at nationals this year, and hopefully peter too!
