Hey everyone what's up - thought I'd post these pics from this years Nationals. I got 10th. I'll be giving them another shot in Nov. Any comments, criticisms, etc. are greatly appreciated.

On the top of my list of needed improvements are back (width and thickness), quad sweep, and calves
Hella Swole - I was in the light heavies too. It was a big class - how did your friend do?
HELLA SWOLE said:He is actually one of my training partners, and he got 15th, he was happy with that though b/c he hadnt touched any gear in 4 years prior to the show. He qualified for nat's at the Mr. Georgia and placed second there...natural. His show weight went up 14 lbs between the GA and nat's and he came in drier at nat's. So he was quite pleased with himself eventhough his placing didn't show.
You looked great my man! Conditioning looks real good. And yes it was a BIG class...wasn't it like 38 competitors or something?? There was definately some tough competition in that class as well as the whole show. Anyways, great job, I am sure you had fun. Good luck to you in the future.

Hella Swole- who was you friend that took second in the light heavies at the GA and what did he place at the Nationals?
pumpputnam said:Sorry, I just noticed where Hella Swole said he placed 15th there.
Saint- Yeah, I know the guy who placed 2nd in the light heavies at the GA 2005. He trains at BodyPlex in Suwanne.
saint said:Well I hate to even say it but I took 2nd in the 2005 open Lt. hvys. and I train at Golds in Kennesaw. I also know the top 2 guys from 2004 so I bet he was a hvy.Does he train at Stacks Gym?

Pete - I'm 5'9", which is pretty tall for the LHW class at that level. Most of the guys were 5'5"-5'7". I weighed in at 197 but that was after carbing up a bit, so realistically I probably could have weighed in around 190 depleted.
Depending on how much size I can put on in the offseason, this upcoming year I'll either try and sneak into the LHW class totally depleted and carb my ass off by showtime, or be a smaller HW - if I'm going to be 205ish though, I'll probably just cut down to LHW rather than do HW.
Here are some comparison pics from the show
The guy your thinking of is John and he does train in swanee. I think he won the Coastal Lt. Hvy last year also.pumpputnam said:I guess I am referring to the guy who got third then. Dark hair, has facial hair. Nice lines, but needs overall more size since he is about 5'9. I was confused. The guy Hella Swole is talking about was a middleweight at the GA.

pumpputnam said:The height thing does play into the overall projection of the physique. I'm a bit over 5'6. Your conditioning looks great. If you could handle the extra weight and maintain your conditioning then I would make the move up to the heavies. But, you'd better be packing once you step up there with those boys. Get some feedback from some IFBB/National level judges. I would be surprised if they didn't tell you that in time you should make the move.
I was at the Junior's also. That is a nice venue besides not having anything around to eat. As of now Jess and I have three girls heading there in figure so we will be returning. I guess you know Greg J and Shaun C over there in NC? What about Patrick Richardson? He is a super nice guy.
