Ok Magnum. He looks good but as you said, needed a little more time. Big improvements on the tighter waistline and quads. A little more time is all! He has definitately improved. Good job to you both. Thanks for that. A little harder and he is going to look great!! He has a much better balance this time as compared to past. Again thank you for these shots.

KK has to be the most talked about person on the boards. Damn. I think they should rename it www.getking.com damn.
Mayhem is no stranger to the KK threads and here is what I wrote in a thread over there-
"I am not gonna jump on the KK bashwagon, it really doesn't matter to me if people throw out their opinions on here or not.
King's a good guy but the waist is way too thick and the arms down, affecting symmetry.
He looked best in 2001, and in that shape woulda done some damage. He and magnum got him in very good condition, and King is a great poser. I just am not sure if someone can change their physique back in a short time or if even at all. Waist needs to be streamlined and his arms have appeared bigger in the past as well, enhancing symmetry."

Well, you did what you could in the short time Jim- KK seems to always look best in the hotel room, the kitchen, but when on stage, he has a tough battle. Bodybuilding is so subjective- maybe KK deserved better than 9th, but it would be tough for him to crack top 5 in this show, and I can't figure out judging criteria - there is no way Branch should have been ahead of D. Wolf, IMHO.

Given the short time I knew that the only thing I could do was try and get him into 2001 shape as close as possible. The two pics the Massive G posted I think show how close he looked to 2001. Personally I do not think that King would have placed any better in his 2001 shape since he was almost in the same exact shape. They certainly wanted mass mosters by the way the placings went, not that I am blaming them.

The last time I worked with King whch was the first I only worked with him for 5 days to dry him out. This time he came to me at 13 weeks out and told me that Muscletech wanted him to compete way sooner than we had planned. To be honest if it were anyone other than King I would have declined to help since it was not nearly enough time to make any improvements let alone get into any kind of shape after a 4 month layoff. There was no good reason for them to have King compete under these circimstances. I shit call to say the least. IF anyone else out there has any 2001 pics I would love to see them compared to last night.

I am interested to see what you two can do with more time Magnum.
I would be interested if the bulking syndrome can be reveresed in which many pros that bulk excessively get some serious tissue on their waists.
Many people scream IGF-1 GH gut Slin belly but I think the bulking is what really widens the waist.
So it will be interesting to see what can be done if KK keeps his weight lower leaner and trains lighter and eats differently for a longer period of time.

That was the 2001 Ironman PRO, and he got third looked really good! I think it was his pro debut.

Thanks for the pics! People swore that his waist cold not come down but I think that we did a very good job at bringing it down on short notice. I am positive that we could put on much more mass, but at this time I am not sure as to a game plan given the fact I do not know what show is next.

I love that pic at 12-15% bf. Good motivation as you can see what some of these guys really look like sometimes. It shows you can go from "normal" BF to show condtion. King seems like a good guy especially since he takes time to post here. I am sure he knows his awesome strengths and his few weak areas. I wish him luck in the future. King was right, Titus is a punk ass!

Isn't Muscletech pretty clear in their contracts as to how often an athlete must compete, how many times they must travel / year to work at expo booths, etc?... I know from the terms of the Muscletech contracts that I've been told about from other muscletech athletes, that the the payoff is pretty damn good for the athlete (e.g., >$20k / year with a total of less than 10 mandatory appearances, including photoshoots, etc.). Those aren't specifics, but the general gist is that for an actively competing athlete (doing at least one show / year) its pretty easy to do a few photoshoots and go to a few expo's at some of the big shows and fulfill the terms of the contract.

Just wondering (since you brought it up), but is it possible that enough time has passed such that King needed to compete to fulfill some aspect his contract (or if he didn't compete at this show, he was going to have to do a "lesser" show)?...
