This happens to runners occassionally. Its from the pounding. Maybe its the compression of your body during squats? Belt digging in?

How are your kidney function tests?

Yeah, really. Urinating blood is not something to just brush off. I think youre on the right track on seeing an urologist. Seek their guidance ASAP IMO.

I just searched around a bit and found this page that lists many of the possible causes of your symptom. Something that is going to take a specialist to figure out.

I'll look through these later after I get back from my ultrasound appt. I used to take alot of Adivil. 4 pills + before going to bed because my shoulder hurt so much I couldn't sleep. I've have discontinued use. I got a new bed, stopped lifts that aggravated it, got some therapy. Shoulder is better.

Coach - I don't do regular squats right now. I stopped because I kept jacking up my IT band. I could do 315 for sets of 20+ with no problem. As soon as I went to 405 after the 6 rep I would feel taht strain. The blood has only occured after heavy leg press (heavy for me) 1000+/12+ reps. I don't do any weight I can't get at least 12 reps with for legs.
Kindey tests are good (I think)
Bun 22
Creatinine 1.23
eGFR 70
Bun/Creatinine ration 18

I just came from GPs. They did another urine test and there was no blood or protien. On Tuesday there was both blood and protien in urine.

Ok Dr's office called and ultrasound results came back fine. They just said to stop lifting so heavy. :banghead: WTF I demanded a referral to a urologist. So it's wait and see again.

Imho it sounds like acute trauma to the kidney. Good luck.
