Please critique my diet.

Hey y'all I'm starting a new diet plan that has been relatively good to me so far. Only a week in, but feel great. I used to eat out about 6 times a week, but it got pricy and started to acquire fat. I am a hard gainer so it's never mattered before. But now I switched my diet around more for a healthy stand point.

Example of a day is :
Meal 1
5 egg whites and 1 whole egg 1 cup oatmeal

Meal 2: steak 1cup brown rice serving of veggies

Meal 3: 8 oz chicken breast 1 cup brown rice veggies

Meal 4: protein shake

Meal 5: tuna filet with potatoes

Meal 6: 1 cup cottage cheese prior to bed

On training days I have two shakes


Please critique and help me I'm trying to lean bulk right now. Thanks!
 
Where are you at stat wise? height weight.
Your diet looks clean but its hard to say without knowing where your at now, and as far as lean bulk, I think you will need a bit more calorically in there.
 
5'6" 175 lbs around 9-10% bf

Weight is low as I have not been able to hit legs in over a year due to injuries. But I'm finally able to do my legs again thank god! I was thinking it would be close to caloric intake since my weight is low. Also the protein shake for a meal is a gainer 800 cals.
 
Well I would start there and see how it goes for now, the diet has good food choices, I think a little more supplemental fat like omega 3's and coconut oil would be benefiicial but start with that and see how the gaining process goes, with most diets as you gain you will need to add some calories here and there.
 
Id add some fruit and sweet potatoes rather than so much rice , rice has very little nutritional value. Otherwise it looks clean but looks low calorie too so u less youbare a skinny midget you need more food

What else can I throw in that's a good calorie dense food? Unfortunately, I hate sweet potatoes. Can't seem to acquire the taste no matter how many times I try them.

Raw honey, grass fed butter, nuts, avocado, healthy oils (EVOO, red palm, macadamia nut, avocado, coconut), salmon or other fatty fish, more grass fed beef. All nutrient dense and calorie dense.

Brown rice BLAH! Just eat some good white rice it aint gonna kill ya and if you add fats to the meals ya will get some extra calories also the good fats with the carbs will slow down the glucose levels from spiking so much. And like Gunsmith said fruits are good. I eat apples all the time a large one is roughly 25-30g of carbs and helps speed up digestion and also a good source of fiber ect.
