Please help my OCD self...

I never weigh food but those of you who do, do you weigh after cooking?

Meat yes, everything else raw.

For meat, just find the macro breakdown for the cooked weight. Best to just stay consistent whichever route you take.

I weigh raw because cooking methods change end weight...say you start with 8oz raw chicken....

Bake it 350* 30 minutes and it comes out 6oz cooked.
Crock pot it and it comes out 7oz cooked.

End the end this micro managing doesn't really matter....but it bothers me so I weigh all my meat to be 8oz raw=45-50g protein

Put your scale in g. Weight your meat raw, divide by 4 and there's your protein content. Roughly...

How about this one? 1 ml=1cc both different units but both are identical lol I know here in the US we Use lbs and ounces. Every where uses the metric system or the imperial system. I know 1 imperial gallon in Canada is not the same at a standard us gallon

I know that in France a quarter pounder w cheese at McDonald's is called a royal with cheese lol does that answer your query ?? Lol

or just know that 4oz is roughly 24g protein :D

That's like saying "I drove 30 miles and my car ran out of gas just a few meters from the gas station".

or

"I bought one gallon of ice cream and ate 700ml of it"

What do they call a Big Mac?

again it's everyday units and scientific units, so food weight in oz (not science) and protein amount in grams (science/medical) makes sense
