Please help with final weight loss

Ive dieted down from around 210 to 173. I am fighting in an amateur mma bout and need to get my true bodyweight down to 163. I have lost the weight slowly and have gained or maintained strength in most of my lifts. I want to get to the weight and maintain for a period to work on strength and conditioning without worrying about the cut. I have had to adjust my calories down on occasion to continue the weight loss. I have been losing about a pound a week, but even with another calorie drop I have stopped losing with no scale change over the last three weeks. My calories are around 1800 a day. I eat very low carbs, moderate protein, and moderate fat.

The foods I eat are Lean meats, eggs, sweet potatoes, fibrous veggies, cashews, and almonds. I know 10 pounds doesnt seem like a lot but I stay hungry around the clock and feel Im on the verge of suffering with my energy. So I would like not to have to drop my calories lower and get the weight loss going again. Maybe my metabolism is fried from the long diet. I knw 10 pounds doesnt seem like a lot but it might a well be 100 with the way its going now. Any diet manipulation tips would be greatly appreciated.

Refeed day once a week. Pick one day out of the week and eat w/e the hell you want but only until the point you are full. Since you are on an extremely cal restricted diet with low carbs, the refeed day will work very well for you. I know it sounds counterproductive, but what it does is it shocks the hell out of your body and kicks up your metabolism. There are members on this board including myself that have used this method with lots of success while dieting.

:yeahthat: This method worked well for me in the past. Also are you getting plenty of EFA in your diet??? I noticed when I started working with Shelby he added more fats into my diet and more calories than what I was already eating pre contest mode and then my fat was pealing off. What is your cardio re gamine like??? Maybe if you don't already through in some fasted cardio and take your bcaa's.
 
Another vote for refeed /cheat day, got me through many a platue

Thanks for the input. Refeed day it is then. I probably could use more efas in my diet too. My cardio is pretty intense right now four days a week. That's one reason it's hard to believe the weights not coming off. Thanks again
