I fully agree. I've always performed leg presses with my feet low on the platform. In fact on most (shitty) machines I have to press with my heels hanging off.

Thank you very much. I have herniations from L3 all the way down to S1. Luckily i don't have pain down my legs. It radiates mostly from lower spine towards the top of my lower spine and out to the sides in the upper part of my glutes and even my hipbone. When it gets really aggravated the pain will run down my leg and it was so bad i could barely put weight on my foot or walk. I actually re-injured it sprawling on someone. Somehow the hyperextension did something, which is odd because previously hyperextension made my back feel good.
