posing oil

Last year I bought a bottle of posing oil, the spray pump clogged after about 3 squirts, then had to take the top off and pour into hands, and of course while doing this it got spilled onto the floor.........
Anyway, I've seen people using cooking spray, looks like it goes on quite well.
Any opinions, experience, suggestions?

Pam works great for me. Even better w/ Dreamtan, if that works w/ your skin and is allowed at your venue (its not at mine).

Easy, goes on w/o rubbing / smearing, less messy, cheaper, etc.

How do they know if you use dream tan is it a tested show? J/K

I don't know about these things just curious why one type is allowed and not another.

Yes, they will randomly select several competitors from each class and do a search of their belongings and/or even chemical analysis of a sample of their color. J/K!

They won't necessarily know, but a trained eye can tell. DreamTan has a bit of a glitter to it, so much that it can even be used w/o oil (or Pam). It looks great on me, but not on other competitors. I think its b/c I have such silky smooth skin from my years of using Avon products... LOL

Supposedly, its tough to get out of fabrics, etc, so it screws up the upholstery (even worse than ProTan...). The promoter where I live bans it from all his shows.

I love the stuff. Goes on great, only 1 coat the night before with a good morning touch-up and you're ready to go. Comes off REALLY easily, compared to Pro-Tan (and Jan Tana). One shower and you can wear normal clothes. Its always washed out of my clothes w/o a problem. Great product. I now have about a half-dozen unused jars of it. Maybe I'll get a chance to use it at a National show someday...

Randy, thanks for the feedback. I considered using the dreamtan this time but last year I bought the HUGE bottle of JanTana and only did 1 show, so I have enough left to do the show this year! Oh well, maybe I'll get a chance to do another show next year, (maybe even hit a National show like you're hoping too) and can try the dream tan then!

Guessin' that is what you've got on in the photo on the banner(?)...

I look like I've been rolling around in tar when I try to use Jan Tana. The trick to making it look at least half-way decent is to put on multiple coats and then hop in the shower, letting it just off. Blot try and go...

I've never had any probs with the JanTana, of course I just stand there and let my wife put on the gloves and rub it on for me!

Kidrok - I used the Dreamtan #2 and applied a light spray of Pam after the dreamtan had some time to set in (dry) a bit. Just a light spray and then just work it in. My color was real good. I had a pretty good base tan going in too. In the past I always used Pro-Tan and I will say that Dreamtan is more convenient that you can just apply the day of the show and then wash off with a loofa sponge at night and its all gone but it is kind of messy. I posted a pic so you can see the coloring. Good luck bro.
