Posing - Routines/Mandatories

For those of you who taught themselves how to pose without a coach - what resources or procedures did you use?

I've looked through old threads, most of them are full of dead links.

Kenny is my posing coach, I work with him one-on-one at least once per week. He is truly great at what he does.

Kenny is the best! For the money it is WELL worth it. I tried on my own only to still look like I had no idea what I was doing.
There are so many little variables for each and everybody to look your best. Like he says why do all that hard work for a prep of 16 weeks or whatyever only to not show it for those 2 min onstage.
After a few weeks with Kenny I have the mandatories a ton better, people who have seen me before are suprised at my progress.
You cannot go wrong for the money

Thanks for posting this, will have a watch later. My posing sucks lol. I really want to practice it better this year, last competition i felt like i had been absolutely battered by the time i got off stage

When i started i tried to do it myself but i got lucky and where i had a company who fixed my diets (Beverly International)i was close enough to go there every week for 4 or 5 months and they would work with me .
I could have never picked up on all they teached me.
Funny thing was the poses i thought i was awseome with i really sucked and all the ones i didn't like ended up being the ones that i still use

Perfect thread. I watched a video with Johnny Jackson that was pretty good. After that I always wanted to work with someone but I have know idea how to even go about finding one.

that was a good video. if you can learn from a pro that's awesome. if you can learn from a pro for free that's even better. if anyone remembers mighty mike Quinn from the 80s early 90s or better yet you tube him. fukin maniac, showmen extreme. cool as shit. I met him a few years ago and he helped me out a lot. so many little tricks those guys know. subtle little shit that would make you laugh its so simple but game changing. im not gonna tell you in case im onstage with any of you this year.
