No way could my stomach handle drinking that much oats especially during a workout

I agree, I do 110g carbs during workout via cyclic dextrin, no way I could do 2 cups oats. My stomach would not like me
 
PWO 1 scoop waxy 2 scoops Whey Hydro

about 45mins later 4 x cups white rice 3/4 - 1lbs Meat (any meat)

works for me
 
Honestly I feel like spending too much money on supplements is a waste. A wise man told me " one tub of protein is one Vial of test "

Common sense but let's be real you don't need any supplements unless you're on Insulin and need to shuttle nutrients. Other than that your cant go wrong ith liquid egg whites pre and post workout
 
Its alot easier to drink 100gms whey than 17 eggs.
And the yolk has most of the bcaa's and others. Why throw out have the egg???

Never done the intra thing. Stopped doing post WO shakes over 6 months ago.


Although I'm considering trying out some pineapple juice / blended pineapple intraWO to see if that gives me any boost. Possibly throw some egg whites in there.


I just really don't want to spend money on powders.
 
Usually in a rush so have to get down a shake and make time for real food about an hour later.
 
I drink a shake as as soon as I get home and eat a post workout meal about an hour or so after that.
 
PWO depending on days, if gotta eat just after or wait:

WPI/WPC/Casein. 20/40/40, sometimes i do it to mix the flavours too :p

WPI/WPC at 30/70

I've read convincing arguments for and against PWO shakes. For me, I'm always hungry as hell after I train, so...I drink a shake. That's about as complicated as I'm willing to get.
 
for anyone looking to make serious changes in there physique (granted they have a training style that is progressive)

Low osmolity?(sp) carbs I personally like vitargo and I have tried huma pro/hydrolized casein/hydrolized whey and pepto pro all for 2 weeks and due to cost and digestion hydrolized protein is my choice (pre and post workout) I dont like any protein during training much rather go with 10g leucine 10gram bcaas 10gram glutamine 60carbs vitargo...

I take in 80p/140c/3f during my pre intra and post workout nutrition

then I start a high carb feed of 245carbs usually

recovery is out of this world no muscle soreness just some joint soreness around hips glutes from heavy rows or low back from squats...
 
I'm pretty similar.
60 honey pre, 40 size-on 40 volumize with 25gms bcaa plus- intra.
Post 100 whey, then eat 1hr later.
I maintain most of my 265lbs on shakes also.
 
I always have a shake with 50 grams of whey Isolate post. I almost always use Iso 100. Then an hour later I eat, sometimes less than an hour.

When I have done slin (only done it like 3 times) ill make one big intra (intra md) shake with intra md and finish it after my workout, and then eat. So its still like and intra and post shake. Next slin run im doing intra md during and some iso 100 and karbolic after just to mix it up and not use 5 scoops intra md in one shot !!!
 
Two scoops of Whey Isolate and two scoops of Branched Chain Cyclic Dextrin

i work out first thing in the am

pre workout i have been doing 40g whey isolate and 1 tbsp coconut oil

post workout 40g whey protein isolate with 3/4 cup of steel cut oats

i then try to eat within the next hr or so.
 
My post work out shake is 14ozs of egg whites mixed with 2 tbs French vanilla Coffee Mate and 6 cups of Rice Crispies.

My post weight lifting shake is 50 grams whey isolate/concentrate with 35 grams carbs from oats. I do cardio after my post weight training shake.
 
Cut protein shakes from my diet almost a year ago and I am the biggest and best I have ever looked. My digestive issues have gotten much better as well. I was very gassy on shakes. Food and BCAAs are what I take now. I use egg whites as an alternative to shakes. I will on occasion use Vitargo if I need an extra boost of carbs.
