What do you take for post workout?
i've never used one and i feel like i could be making better progress.
after a workout i just drink a 100% whey w sugar

what do you use and why is it the best?

Whey, dextrose, glutamine, and bcaa's.

I read in a recent issue of MD, that if you glug your shake down instead of sipping over an extended period of time, then this gets more nutrients in the muscles, quicker.

Not sure if it matters, but it makes sense.

same exact for me.. i forgot to mention glutamine.
creatine makes my stomach upset.. banana or sugar for me usually.

so im not that far off sweet! haha thanks man
 
May sound kind of corny but when I was first able to get ahold of supps I would down a shake with nitro-tech and cell tech immediately after my last set and I swear I made some great strength gains off of doing that!
 
2 scoops whey and some Glutamine for me.
 
Seems to be that everyone drinks the same as me.. Thought there was something different I was missing!!
 
When you say sugar what do you mean... dextrose? I use whey isolate and virtago (or if I am poor waxy maize).

Then alittle later I will have a meal with protein, complex carbs and fat. Usually an innocent fruit smoothie too (not from concentrate).

No need for anything fancy so your doing good. Although I have recently started having an intra workout drink of a some protein and fast carbs and it is feeling really good... exspecially for pumps. Just make sure your getting lots of caloris dense food throughout the day with a selection of fruit and veg etc.

i take creatine pre workout as it is used in the ATP energy system....

:yeahthat: I usually do some type of whey isolate and 1 and half bananas.

I've tried all sort of pwo ideas like vitargo, waxy, dextrose, maltodextrin, etc. For me I can't really say I noticed anymore of a difference with these over bananas.

Same goes for hydrowhey, isolate, concentration, pro peptides, etc etc...I now just use isolate because it taste better, mixes better (except iospure--crap foams like no other), and foe me digest better then the rest.

For me it's 50g whey protein, 25g sugar (usually 6oz pineapple), and 50g complex carbs (oats or a whole grain bagel). This has been working great thus far.

post:
2 scoops whey
 
One scoop whey protein, two pieces of Ezekial bread w/walden farms jelly... yum
