I wanted to share an interesting experience I had with Prami. I have been on a low dose (.25mg) for a few days now. Besides the noted insomnia, nothing really big as far as sides are concerned.
On my carb re-feed day (cheat day) I had to take a couple of Tagamet pills (cimetidine) to help offset any heartburn that I might get due to my massive intake of food that day (taken about 2 hours before my Prami dosage). Big mistake. My .25mg of Prami all of a sudden felt like I took 2 mg. I could not stand up (or even sit up) without feeling extremely dizzy and very nauseous. I was up feeling like this all night along with cold sweats and the like.
I did some searching and found that Macro indicated that the half-life is increased by 40% and its measurable effect increases by 50% (if I am understanding what AUC means in pharmacology terms). Whoa.
Don't take your Prami with Tagamet!
