Pramipexole and serotonin syndrome

I thought I read a thread that stated Pramipexole can trigger serotonin syndrome. After I take my .5 pram at night my heart rate can really race - particularly during sex. I am also on 40mg of Prozac.

if you are taking pramipexole, you almost certainly should reduce your prozac dosage. Anyone taking anti-depressants and SSRI's should consult with prescribing physician when adding drugs that interact with them.

Not so sure about the serotonin syndrome, will look into that, but pramipexole will generally upregulate serotonin signalling through d2/d3. Though effect may be more pronounced after ceasing pramipexole (since stimulation also has regulating effect).. there is at least on study on this "priming effect" on SSRI effectiveness... after withdrawal of pramipexole (will post it up later)

im on 20 mg paxil for last 4 years and dont have problem taking prami.
Im on.25 prami every night, only problem i have is i get hard at night and lasts almost till the morning. Should i be concerned if errection lasts that long?

yes. Thats why i worry about it. i usually get hard about 2 am and wake up hard at 7 am.
