I get lunch from 12-1230 and I lift at 3. So I am going to get another meal in at 2 with carbs and add a tiny bit of fat to help slow down the digestive rate. I will already have 200g of protein in me. So my question is, do I need to take some of my chicken from lunch and move it to that meal? Big deal if I don't add any protein in there? I do have an intra with eaa's/bcaa's

I'm adding carbs back in my diet and trying to take an advantage of them around my workout. I appreciate the help!

According to that the protein synthesis is 3 hours so you would want more protein if you're working out 3+ hours after your lunch. (Though it may take you time to digest etc so it might last longer as he may be referring to shakes..) But I would surely add more chicken or a shake to your pre meal...

OR you could get your EAA/BCAA drink about 10mins before workout instead of intra workout...

Idk about taking chicken from one meal and adding it to another, but I’d say just eat more if you think you need more food.

Yes I’d eat protein with that meal, I wouldn’t eat a meal without protein.

I think you’re over complicating it.

fast carbs (sweet things, not whole wheat stuff) are great preworkout. gives you a pump. some sweet drink or sweet protein shake would be ideal

For the 100th time...hire a coach.

7oz chicken - 1.5c jaz rice, 140g pineapple

60g cream of rice, 50g whey, 1tbsp almond butter

2 scoop whey, 2 bagels, 2tbsp pb

When i went through a keto phase my pre was 7oz lean 96/4 beef, 50g cashews, 1tbsp mac nut oil, 50g spinach. Never in a million fucking years would i think id be eating that pre workout...and i loved it.
 
I wake up at 0230 am..I workout at 0300am.

I use that 30 minutes to let my pre-workout wash out my giant morning deuce...then I eat 6oz of jasmine rice and 8oz of ground beef while I workout.
 
I've honestly found about the best thing for me is a handful of blueberries and maybe some cream of rice. I've always liked to train fasted because I just don't like having anything on my stomach, but if I do, it's something like that. I don't worry much about protein in a preworkout meal since it takes more work to digest.
 
Doesn't matter imo

Just drink a Gatorade and lift maybe add some EAAs. Post workout meal more important at least for my recovery. I can work all day, come home and train semi fasted and as long as I get a decent post workout meal I'm good. I train everyday around 4pm after work and eat 2-3 meals after until bedtime around 11pm.
 
Usually a banana, whey/casein mixed with water and 2 krill oil caps.

IMO 3 hours from your meal to the start to the workout is fine - a meal with high protein will take a loooooonnggg time to digest completely...

for that reason, as long as you are eating big amounts of protein several time a day, then aminos will always be saturated, and I would just focus on making sure to drink some sugars before/during your workout if you are trying to add mass
 
Great time for simple sugars. I like a snickers, a pop, and a coffee. I know everyone's body is different, but it works for me. I've turned several other guys on to it and they're usually very pleased with the results.

Exactly. Just a light meal like one listed above (perfect examples). You don't need to overcomplicate things and just something with mixed macros and what you digest well. Everyone is different and some prefer to eat 1-4 hours before the gym. If you like to have something fairly soon before just add 1 of those meals in approx 1 hour before. If not you don't need to add anything and maybe just have an intra shake (or nothing). Now sometimes I may eat and for whatever reason I am delayed for the gym and in that event I have something extra light. It could just be a banana... perhaps some nut butter and whey as well. Although I don't worry about protein because I have it in every meal and I have it intra so it's always covered. If I had to list my fav preworkout meal it would probably be beef, pineapple and rice and that would be consumed approx 2 hours preworkout. I personally prefer not being "empty" but prefer being half way there.
