I'm the same as you, big believer in nutrient dense food. I only take in 3k a day, One reason why I make it all food and stay away from shakes. If I was at 5k wouldn't be as big a deal. I love rice cakes and would like them pre but zero nutrients.
Today I kept the omlette but rather than fruit had shredded potatoes, mixed it up a little. Then an apple and 2 peaches chopped up post mixed with some Greek yogurt and a rice cake covered in cinnamon.
I haven't really had any shakes for ages apart from my intra shake which I have every training day. If anything when I have shakes I have more nutrient dense foods because they are such an easy way for me to have more fruits and vegetables. I used to load my old blender up with alsorts of greens and fruits with synthepure. I often added things such as moringa, cacao, kale and various nuts and seeds. Just an easy way to consume those things because otherwise I probably (definitely) wouldn't. I often had 2 shakes per day all loaded in quality ingredients. I could definitely do with more greens but I added in a really good greens and fruit powder to help with that because that is better than having none
