Does anyone know where to get presciption (needed in US) prenatal vitamins? My wife loves these things as she has noticed the differences especially in her hair quality.

Thanks man. Yeah, she has used the OTC ones before. She prefers the prescription strength version. The name of the ones she uses is Vitafol-OB.

Vitafol-OB and other prenatal vitamins just contain a higher than usual concentration of vitamins and minerals, particularly folic acid.

A (beta carotene) - 2700 IU
D (cholecalciferol) - 400 IU
C (ascorbic acid) - 70 mg
E (dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate) - 30 IU
Folic Acid - 1 mg
B1 (thiamine mononitrate) - 1.6 mg
B2 (riboflavin) - 1.8 mg
B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) - 2.5 mg
B12 (cyanocobalamin) - 12 mcg
Niacin (niacinamide) - 18 mg
Calcium (calcium carbonate) - 100 mg
Elemental Iron (ferrous fumarate) - 65 mg
Magnesium (magnesium oxide) - 25 mg
Zinc (zinc oxide) - 25 mg
Copper (copper oxide) - 2 mg

At almost $50 for 100 caps, you can get the same effect by taking 2 of your regular multi along with a seperate folic acid tab.

Yep their the most complete multi vit available. I take them every day.
I cry often though and I'm drawn to Benji movies from some odd reason...
