WIcked video brother....what are the straps/bands on the leg press there?
The bands are on there as a just in case someone wants to use them....they are set up as reverse bands, which means they help you out of the bottom...we didnt set them tight to help. You can also band from the bottom which created insane eccentric resistance..I put it in most of my peoples programs for short cycles..you can't do it too much..because it beats the shit out of you...the reverse bands I like more for upper body. Bench press is a great example..the band helps you out of the bottom, which is where I will pull or tear something if I go real heavy..but I can load up 450 lbs and they help me out of the bottom (feel more like 315), then as the weight comes up the bands lose tension and you can push the heavier weight..its awesome...legs, I haven't used this technique much yet...powerlifters use it to work on their lockout..again I have just done bands off the bottom...I might start a thread about using bands and all the different things you can do, because they are AWESOME for bodybuilding...help you safely overload with reverse banding...do regular bounding for intense contractions with extra eccentric resistance..yea I'll do a thread....
