Preworkout meal timing ????

For those of you who have a preworkout meal, how far out before your workout do you have your meal? I'm gonna try to have a preworkout meal starting this week, but now sure how far out it should be? I'm usually out of work about 5pm and in the gym by 6pm. Besides a protein drink at 5pm when getting off work I usually never eat. I'm just not hungry. But want to try a PreWO meal to see if I have any new gains in the next 2 months. All thoughts and suggestions are welcomed.

(2 months is just a trial period, no contest or anything like that)
 
1.5hr is the closest i can eat to training , i shoot for no less than 2hrs if possible , if somthing comes up i just down 3oz LBA's and a hand full of peanuts.

I like my preworkout meal to be either low to moderate in carbs , to many carbs and i dont feel as good while training.

Typicaly i use a 50g eggwhite shake , 25g carbs from fruit and 15-20fat

If i eat a meal its a lighter meat like fish or eggwhites , some fruit and again some sort of fat
4whole eggs and 6eggwhites and 8oz pineapple is a my favorite
 
Im about the same also, a hour or so . Always egg/egg whites and little bit of oats and green veggies. Very easy on my stomach
 
I like chicken and whole wheat bread with peanut butter about 2 hours before
 
I am like you, leave work and an hour later in the gym. I like to add a half cup of oats to my shake, drop in 3 fertile eggs and down the hatch. Have leaned out quite a bit doing this while maintaining nearly all my muscle mass.
 
I do 30mins to an hour before. Ready to eat by the end of the workout. I leave work at 5:30, so I eat a meal right before I leave then fight traffic to the gym.
 
Half dozen raw eggs, 400mg caffine and some honey 30 mins prior.
 
I have breakfast, then 1.5 hrs later i drink a pre workout (assault, white flood, muscle marinade, etc) and hit the gym 30 min later. So 2 hrs pre. I feel like shit training if i eat soon before.. plus pre workouts are absorbed much better on an empty stomach
 
I've always been unique here. I can and usually do have a full size meal 15-20 minsbefore heading to the gym and eat another as soon as I get home. I live 5 mins from the gym. If I were to wait 1.5-2 hours like you guys I would cut my workout short due to hunger and come home to eat!

Forgot to add I also have intraworkout karboload with some BCAAs too.
 
Ill have rice at 60 grams carbs with my protein shake with slin and a gatorade.
 
I generally train 1.5 hours after my first meal, which is usually something like 8 egg whites/4 omega eggs/1 cup oats. If I don't wait at least an hour my stomach isn't too happy with me and my workout suffers.
 
Bout 30-45 min before...usually drink a 1/2 small carton of all whites(25g) and sum fun carbs like a big piece of rasberry coffee cake I had yesterday, prob about (50-70g carbs)... I eat and leave, takes bout 15-20 min to get to gym, another 15-20min or so warming up

I bring gatoraid n candy like starbursts to tha gym and eat a few while there :)
 
1 hr Pre workout - Protein shake w/ 1 scoop natty peanut butter,1 cup of finely ground oats, 1 cup whole milk.
1 slice toasted whole wheat breat w/ natty peanut butter

45 mins Pre workout- 30mg Halotestin

This combo keeps me pushing strong throughout my training session. ::port-smi
