Joachim Hansen vs. Jason Ireland

Round 1: Ireland goes in the offense with strikes and takes Hansen down. Back up with Ireland still on the offensive. Hansen takes him down on the clinch and puts in a little ground and pound. Ireland manages to get back up, but Hansen takes him down again. Hansen does a roll though to take Ireland’s back. Ireland gets back up and puts some ground and pound into Hansen who is still on the ground. Close round to Ireland in my opinion.

Round 2: They come out swinging. Hansen lands a uppercut and a few knees before taking Ireland down. They stand and Ireland is in trouble. Hansen seems to be landing at will. Takes Ireland down again. Ireland has an arm but cannot do anything with it. Hansen mounts and lands a bunch. Round to Hansen.

Round 3: Hansen coming at hard, lands a few with Ireland going backwards. Ireland takes Hansen down and Hansen gets him in a leg triangle and then gets a arm, and Hansen by submission at 2:33.

Kazuo Misaki vs. Frank Trigg

Round 1: Trigg cuts off the ring and they clinch, Trigg takes him down. Trigg takes the back and works a body triangle. Trigg takes the neck but looses it. They end the round with Trigg in control with the body triangle from the back trying to land a few head shot. Round to Trigg.

Round 2: Big takedown by Trigg. Trigg try to gain position and finally get mount then back as Masaki tries to spin out. Masaki manages to get up. Hard right by Masaki. Masaki goes on the offensive and land a few bodyshots. Triggs takes him down with a minute to go. Trigg works the ground and pound. Round to Trigg.

Round 3: Masaki comes out striking and Trigg takes him down. Trigg get side control and lands a few knees to the side and a couple of punches to the head. Masaki rolls and manages to get up. The swap knees to the head. Trigg takes him down with a minute to go again. Passes his guard and lands a few to the ribs before Misaki ties him up until the end of the round. Trigg by unanimous decision

Travis Wiuff vs. James Lee

Round 1: Lee lands a right that knocks Wiuff down. Lee lands some shots as Wiuff tries to escape. Lee hooks in a guillotine and ends the fight. Lee by submission at 0:39.

I probably still would. Still 6 more fights to come, including Gomi-Diaz, Rogerio-Sokoudjou, Shogun-Overeem, and Silvia-Henderson.

Round 1: Soko lands 4 kicks, then a punch and KOs Nog in 0:23!!!

Fuck, that punch was almost a forearm strike to the side of the jaw. Nog was KTFO.

Hayato Sakurai vs. Mac Danzig

Round 1: Sakurai looks twice Danzigs size. They swap kicks, and Sakurai lands a hard right. Sakurai is putting a hurting on Danzig. Kicks, punches, bodyshots, the works. They go to the ground, Sakurai on top. Danzig is game and fighting hard from the bottom. Sakurai stand up, let Danzig up and lands a few kicks before taking Danzig down again, gets a arm bar with 15 seconds to go, but doesn’t get it. Round to Sakurai.

Round 2: Danzig comes out throwing and Sakurai takes him down. They stand, Sakurai seems content to let Danzig come forward, he counters every shot. HARD low kick by Sakurai, and another. Another, Danzig is going to be limping very soon. HARD right counter by Sakura and it’s all over. Sakurai by KO.

Sergei Kharitonov vs. Mike Russow

Round 1: Kharitonov lands a few leg kicks. Russow tries twice to take him down, gets it right the 3rd time. Russow loses the mount and they get up very briefly before Russow slams Kharitonov down. Kharitonov get an armbar from the bottom and win by submission at 3:46.

Russow tries to say he didn't tap when it is very clear he did tap several times. Lying fuck.

Mauricio Shogun vs. Alistair Overeem

Round 1: Shogun stalks Overeem and they swap strikes. They clinch and Overeem is landing the better shots, takes Shogun down. They stand and Shogun lands a nice right. Shogun takes Overeem down and works the ground and pound. Shogun stands up quickly with Overeem still on his back and dives into a brutal overhand right that KOs Overeem at 03:27. Shit that was hard. Overeem has no idea what hit him.

Takanori Gomi vs. Nick Diaz

Round 1: Gomi takes down Diaz, Gomi working the ground and pound. Ref moves them the middle of the ring. Back up, Diaz land a nice right and and another. Gomi lands a hard punch than knocks Diaz down. Gomi takes his back and lands more head shots. They stand. They trade and Gomi looks hurt. Gomi still throwing, this is a war. I have no idea how Gomi lasted that round; he couldn’t even hold his hands up. Round to Diaz.

Round 2: Diaz is stalking Gomi. They stop the fight to check Diaz’s cut. Gomi get a break he needs. Diaz is keeping Gomi at the end of his jab and is landing at will. Gomi is hurt but keeps swinging. What the hell does it take to knock out Gomi? Gomi takes Diaz down and Diaz gets in a choke across his calf. Diaz by submission.

Damn that was a war. Diaz took it to him and kicked his ass.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Dan Henderson for the PRIDE Middleweight Title

Round 1: They touch, Henderson comes out striking and slips, Silva on him but does nothing and the ref stand them back up. They trade and clinch, Silva against the ropes, but Henderson does nothing and the ref breaks them. They trade again with Henderson getting in the better strikes. Silva lands a hard right hook and hurts Henderson just before the end of the round. Close round to Henderson.

Round 2: Henderson almost gets a guillotine, takes down Silva. Henderson on top, working a little ground and pound. Drops a few shoulder on Silva. Henderson in control and winning the fight. Wanderlei cannot get out from under Henderson. Big shots from Henderson, Wanderlei is outside the ropes, and they move them back to the middle. Wanderlei goes for and arm bar but misses just before the end of the round. Round to Henderson.

Round 3: They trade, Wanderlei doing better than before. Henderson takes him down, but Silva rolls out and stands. Hand left hook by Wanderlei. Hard back fist by Henderson. Holy shit hard left hook by Henderson to KO Silva. Damn Henderson landed a hard right to Silva while he was KOd. Wanderlei cannot even walk unassited.

Dan Henderson is the new PRIDE Middleweight champion!!!
