If so, that is terrible. THose athletes bring in big bucks for the supplement companies and they cannot pay them more when they win a contest??? crazy!!!

But i believe the winner of the O gets 100,000 dollars and thats the highest amount. The 425,000 dollars is the grand total split 5 ways. Once again i could be wrong but this is what i believe to be true.

Sorry guys did not know that. I thought that they were finally start giving them more money. You can not compair bbing to baseball because it's all about how the fans. I love bbing, but it is not nearly as big as other sports.

I think in bodybuilding the money has to be there in the sponsorships. More than any other sport (except maybe golf), the athletes are what makes the products sell.

This has GOT to be one of THE WORST paid proffesions out there. Compare it to something like bowling! I've seen prize money for bowling tournaments over a million bucks!
Why would anyone ever really consider making a "career" out of it?
Just a rant fellas. I still love the sport and love competing. Just no future in it for me I know. Too bad.

Arnold winner gets 100,000. Plus a Hummer. Olympia winner gets 100,000. Top bodybuilders make most of thier money from guest posing, seminars and product indorsement. I have heard Ronnie Coleman approches the 1 million a year mark.

you'd think that... but bring your visa card... the cheap seats are really bad. I wish i could have had the seats i had for our local show heheh. That was awesome. I also think that the athletes are underpaid but hopefully compensated well for endorsements contracts.
