In the spirit of the "Holiday Season" I would like to challenge all of the fine members of ProMuscle to do something nice at least once each day of this month. I want this to be the focus of each day just like getting enough protein, playing DVD's etc...So when you are coming out of the grocery and that guy is ringing the bell, put some change in his callder, toys for tots, whatever it doesn't matter just do something each and everyday. I know times are tough so it doesn't have to be financial. It doesn't cost anything to say "hello, how are you?" and actually mean it, hold doors for people, offer to carry someone in needs groceries, etc....or volunteer some of your time to something. If you do this each and everyday you might find this behaivor to be addicting and you might keep doing it when the month is over.

Great idea Aeliop

Hopefully it will catch on and we can do this all year long. i have learned that serving others is the best way to serve yourself.

Good post and a great idea.Doggcrapp has a great post over at IM along the same line...doing small thing to help people out and make this world a little better. One thing my wife and i do every year is donate gifts thru the Christmas Angel program. It's run by the salvation army and is a great program.

Bodybuilders can be givers too...I like the challenge Tony and will do!

very good idea ,, my wife and i donate alot of time and funds to toys for tots , crippled childrens fund , USO and a couple local childrens charities.

your right it is addictive , its amazing how such small things like a cheap used toy or a simple hug can bring so much joy to sombody.

Toys for tots is another great idea.....no child should be empty handed on x-mas morning. And it's fun to go shopping for them....one kid that i picked this year wants a new soccer ball.I'm hooking him up with some new cleats and a kick-ass jersey to go with it.My wife love's to pick up cool, trendy clothes for the 12-16 year old girls...we have the best time doing this.

We foster Miniature Schnauzers for the Schnauzer rescue of Florida. Every day is a wonderful day if you own a mini.......

Great...

Aeliop- I know from past postings, this one including, you're a "good" guy. Thank you for encouraging us.

JS- you are right, serving others is truly a blessing.

I mentioned a long time ago, we are not here for ourselves, we are here for each other. Imagine if everyone would really truly "treat each other how you yourself would want to be treated."

Slow down, look to the needs of others, and yes, many of those so called "little things" like holding open a door, etc. can speak volumes to a hurt or bitter soul.

Actually, being a bodybuilder can be a benefit in this area, as I've prevented fights from happening simply b/c of my size and nothing I did physically, I've stood in the middle of traffic so a little old lady could cross the street... not trying to "float my own boat" b/c God knows I am really messed up sometimes, just wanting to give you some other idea's of how we can be a blessing to others.

Thanks Aeliop, continue to be a "light" to an otherwise dark and weary world!

good post Tony. Count me in.

I like that Lenny, seeing how we all can be very selfish at times.

Great post aeliop!

Great post Aeliop! This is the time of year for giving and not receiving. Sometimes we all forget about that as we get caught up in our daily lives. I have been volunteering with the Red Cross for the last 2 years and am always looking for other ways to help out people who need it. I am not the richest man but can always find other means to lend a hand. Thanks for the reminder.

This is good stuff bro. I am no saint but I try do things like this all of the time. I have a conscience and try to treat people good. I try to tip a little bit more, just because they have mouths to feed as well. I do things like pray for others, forgive other immediately. I belong to a group that calls for this where we are basically trying to transform our lives so as to have the holy fire awaken in us. Even my work calls for service. I work for the VA (veterans admin.) I am always taking care of those who were willing to lay down their life for me. I pray this will be a success.
