Looking for some suggestions on a good PROBIOTIC for general GI Distress.

THANKS

your brother in Christ,

Lucky

Fermented foods are generally a better choice than probiotic supps.

Kefir (my fave), unpasteurised sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, etc

A great supp I love which isn’t technically a probiotic but does a lot of the same shit is s. boullardii.

Hopefully something there helps

I use Align probiotic digestive support 24/7 , it works. Psyllium husk helps me also. I do both,,not at the same time of day though.

I’ve recently started using boullardii too

I've been using Dr. Ohhira's professional formula probiotic since about last July when I started growing again. Didn't have a particular reason for adding it other than just helping with the 6-7,000 calories per day I was shoveling down. I went with Ohhira because they were a client at my last company so I knew the insides of the business and could trust the quality.

Can be a crap shoot because different ones work better or worse for some people. Get your poop tested at viome.com and they will formulate a probiotic specifically to your needs.

I use visbiome. It's expensive but one of the best ones out there. It really helps my GERD. My sinus doctor had me go on it for 6 months after surgery. I never came off. I take two in the morning soon as I wake up. 30-60 minutes before breakfast.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR RESPONSES!!! MUCH APPRECIATED!! I was talking about this subject with my wife and told her I knew just where to go to get some good recommendations!

It is likely the best out there...made by the same people who made the old VSL#3. Rhonda Patrick went from vsl to Visbiome a few years ago.

L reuteri was the most specific strain used for the treatment of my symptoms (GERD), I had great success with this strain.

I just ran an ayurvedic protocol of neem, slippery elm, triphala, and some bitters. It worked great. I am near positive I cured SIBO with this along with betaine hcl

dr steven langers swanson is CHEAP and is ok, I've tried them all, generally speaking the more strain variation in the blend and higher billion dosing is good rule of thumb

When taking a prebiotics regularly your body will end up making the strains of probiotics that it needs.
