I thought I would share some progress pics that i got a kick out of today. The before pic is 4 years 9 months ago. It was also after about a year of losing weight, i had lost 65lb to get to the before pic. i was around 200lb in the before pic. The after pic was today at 271lb 6'0" tall and 17 weeks out to my second contest.
There has been a lot of bulking and dieting between the two pics. i did my first show in 2011 and i was a tiny six footer (light heavy weight)on stage. i hope to be a decent heavy weight on stage in 2013.
i trained alone for a while then found Shelby Starnes and worked with him for 18 months before my first show. I am a huge Shelby fan, I cant say enough good things about the man. After my show i hired Phil and i really enjoyed a different perspective on food and training. After that I hired John Meadows for training and went back to Shelby for diet. Been with Shelby for the past year and will continue with him for a couple shows this year.
I am very happy with my progress. i think it represents what subpar genetics are capable of with persistent training and diet. Shelby and I really pushed hard to add some much needed size over the past year.
