My legs have have always been smaller and unproportionate with my upper body. I didn't start training them untill my freshman year of college, while i trained my upper body all throughout highschool. Right now i can only do real light lifts because i pulled my left quad playin basketball about a month ago. When i'm fully healed and able to lift heavy w my legs how would you guys go about getting your legs to match your upper body? I was thinkin about training light with my upper body and real heavy with my legs? Anyone have ne suggestions?

Fuking hard work, and time. heavy weight and high reps. I took u thru a whole a whole leg day once. do that and eat and i promise they will grow. key words... EAT.

what worked best for me is lighter weight and more reps and more sets for legs. I dont go heavy on them b/c they just dont seem to grow that way and I superset a lot on them. in one year of training legs like that my legs got much bigger and leaner and became one of my best bodyparts. I remember my roomate from college seeing my legs after the year of training them like this and he said they looked incredible. truthfully calves are my problem but thats a different thread altogether

I guess its different for everybody. The only exercise that really seems to do it for my legs is squating. I feel it makes your whole body respond. The thing is I tend to see guys doing more weight than they can handle and then go down about a 1/5 of the way. The only thing they seem to get out of it is a sore lower back instead of big quads. You gotta go heavy but at the same time you need to work up to the weight so your form is good and you dont hurt yourself. When I really started to concentrate on my form, my legs grew and more plates ended up going on the bar. Lunges too.....I do them all year round.

that's pretty much the workout i've been doin but ive just been workin out at home since i canceled my gym membership so i could pay off my damn lawyer and all these court costs....so instead of the hacksquats i've been doin regular squats with my heals on a 25lb weight...the only problem i've been havin is my leg ext and leg curl thing is kinda screwed up so i don't feel like i'm gettin as much out of them as i was at the gym...anything i could replace them with maybe lunges as awn said? but don't know what i could replace the leg curls with? and should i bee doin the regular squats the same way u had me doin the haks?
