Hey guys. I saw my Dr. this morning for a routine visit. He did a urine analysis with a strip in his office, and found protein in the urine. The Dr. had me leave another sample to be sent to a lab, but was not hugely concerned at the moment.

Background: 49 yo on TRT for 6 years. Right now sort of cruising on 200 test, 200 deca (joints) and some masteron to fight bloat etc. 2 iu hgh, and a little arimidex. No substantial AAS recently.

Anyone else had this (positive protein in urine) happen?

Feel fine, actually great. Did a hard workout morning of test. Bp, etc. normal . . . Thanks for any input.

Can be attributed to kidneys being taxed or overworked, can be seroius, check the new lab results with your DR.

It all depends on the level found in the urine, small amounts are normal with heavy exersise, usually a Dr will do a follow up test if your levels are abnormally high. Here is a good read labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/urine-protein/tab/testCached

It may have more to do with the fact that you had a hard workout before the test! A small amount of protein in the urine isn't unusual. The fact that your doctor isn't that worried is a good sign. Did you ask him how high it was?

Here's a snippet from the Mayo-Clinic website:

"Low levels of protein in urine are normal. Temporarily high levels of protein in urine aren't unusual either, particularly in younger people after exercise or during an illness".

Did you let your doctor know you just did a hard workout before the morning of the test?

:yeahthat: this is what i was goin to mention hard workouts b4 test can effect tests... i had a hard leg day b4 a urine test like this and they said i had protein and blood in my urine and askd if i had done any thing strenuous b4 the test, if this is your case no need to worry!

I didn't get the level from him, but I did mention I had hit gym pretty hard a few hours before. Thx to everyone for the input. I will post what the labs show when I get results in a week.
