Protein Pancakes

I get the shits from too much wheat (I eat a low FODMAP diet) and I can buy a good size box of gluten free mix for $3 and add in some egg whites and protein, presto

I can't justify paying that kind of price on tbd regular for pre made protein pancake mix

are you gluten intolerant or is it from the insoluble fiber?

i just blend up oatmeal or you can buy oat flour then add some applesauce, banana, vanilla extract, cinnamon and egg whites. i dont use whey anymore.

Different types of fiber and carbs ferment in my stomach and I have a highly permeable intestinal wall, so once it begins fermentation I open up a shit storm.

Even many vegetables and fruits do not sit well with me

My gastroenterologist suggested this diet and is following my diet closely and so far this has helped a lot for me...

Yep, these always turn out really good. If you want to change it up just a bit, substitute the apple baby food, with a banana, add a dash of cinnamon. Also, if you want to turn it in to a tasty waffle, add a Tablespoon of Cottage Cheese. Making me hungry talking about it...

thanks for the recipe. I always just add protein powder to the pancake mix and call it good
 
came across this twist on the regular protein pancakes:


Ingredients:

½ cup of oat flour

3 egg whites

2 scoop protein powder

1 tsp stevia

¼ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp vanilla

2 3.5oz containers of organic apple baby food.



Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly until a smooth texture is obtained. If it is still a little dry add one more egg white. Once pan is heated I use a 1/3 rd cup measuring cup to make sure all the pancakes are the same size. Cook until most bubbles are gone or the other side is a nice light brown color, flip over and cook for about 45 seconds -1 minute more. Recipe makes 4-6 pancakes.

I make belgian woffles for my keto diet sometimes.
Actually made some today.

I use:
150g, Soy flour
150g, Whey 100- banana chocolat flavor
300g, whole eggs
80g butter
500ml 0.5% milk
10g baking soda

Makes about 16 of them, eat with whipped cream, love it.
Low carb, high fat and protein.

Make sure you put some fat in the iron between each set, or some extra butter in the mix, or else they stick..
