There’s been a lot of threads and posts lately about gastric issues and I too suffer from them. Most protein powders seriously upset my stomach. Some are completely intolerable. For the last 12 years or so I’ve settled on truenitritions cold filtrated and it’s worked well for me. Still a little stomach cramping and gas, but much less than any others I have tried. Well as I’ve gotten older it seems that even this has started to bother me. Recently Dante posted about his new whey isolate ultra cfm and I thought what the hell and ordered 5 pounds of it. I’ve gone through about 4 pounds of it so far and man I couldn’t be happier. I get the tiniest bit of cramping for about ten minutes after drinking it. I’ve seen a lot of posts lately about combating this by slowing down the digestion rate of the isolate by adding some Greek yogurt to it so I’ve been using 2 scoops whey, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt and water and this completely gets rid of the stomach discomfort for me and I actually find that within an hour of drinking the shake I’m usually quite hungry.
I’m sure this is gonna come off sounding like a shill but I’ve got no dog in this fight. I’ve probably spent 20k dollars with TN over the last 17 years and I know a good product when I find one. Hopefully someone else will find this as useful as I did

For me it was slowing it down as many suggested.
I mix it with yogurt or powdered oats.

If I had reasonable access to TN products I would certainly be buying them.

I've been using that new protein for about a week or two now, and it is awesome. They had it on sale a month or so ago for $7.99! I bought about 10-12# of it even though I still had plenty of a prior order to go through. At that price, it was like an absolute steal....like almost the price of what it was 15 years ago, lol! It digests very well for me.

I'm probably putting you on the spot, but have you tried Synthetek's Synthepure? I'm not sure if after shipping to where you are at what the pricing is...but figured i'd throw it out there.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but if you can get down with the fat content, then mixing whey protein with kefir is the best thing ever if whey on its own causes issues.

I rarely use protein powder, but funny you say this, I ordered 12 lbs due to the promo, also. Been using it a few weeks now, it does cause some upset (they all do) but it's definitely better than average. I can recommend it, so far

just curious, how do you mix the yogurt with the whey? Just mix the powder and yogurt, then eat with a spoon?

Try a plant based protein. I am not a supplement guy but would be interested in anybody’s experiences, not opinions. Tx.

I’ve done it that way and it comes out like pudding and is pretty good. And I’ve also just tossed some in a shake and shake it up

I have experience with unflavored pea protein. The taste is absolutely horrible. It is very difficult to apply it, but I found ways and not to say that they are simple. Works well, but needs to be combined with a different type of protein. Not bad for my digestion, but not perfect either.
Because of this, I no longer use it, although I have a sufficient amount.

I’ve used Isopure since the start and have only tried BSN protein once. I’ll have to look into the one you recommend. Thanks!

I think whey with sunflower instead of soy is easier for me to digest. Grass-fed seems to be better also.

I also mix in full-fat greek yogurt at a 1:1 ratio.

One other point: almost all protein companies use different raw sources depending on what is available.

Pasteurized egg whites are the way to go. Just drink them. That’s all I do most days. I hate eating food. Eating all the time for years is obnoxious. Protein shakes f my stomach up

I have seen those but havn't tried them. Eventually. I don't mind eating the same thing everyday. Its weird. I know.

One of those posts was started by me. Even in my extreme case, Gold Standard Whey gives me 0 issues. Its actually one of the few things ive been consuming that gives me 0 issues.

I think this is part of the difference too. I haven’t bought tn protein in over a year and since coming back they’re all made with sunflower lecithin instead of soy and I think that makes a difference
