Protein Powder VS Real Food Updated Opinions

I prefer food while prepping, but will drink 2 shakes at work because the simply factor of convenience. On the weekends, I do all food. Food just makes me feel fuller for a longer period of time.

Thats great this is what i see myself doing ..meals AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE..but shakes when neccessary and convient

Powder for me.
Living in Japan means I cannot buy large quantities of food and prepare them.

I've been drinking 250 grams of protein a day for over a year now and the results have been good.

Wow..thats great yea i have definately heard of guys having great results with hardly any whole foods and MOSTLY protein supps. That is fascinating to me never thought it would be possible i guess

If I had a choice I would be eating far more real food, as it is much more satisfying. My current conditions however do not allow this and if anything put me in a situation where I can test my previous experience of eating mostly whole foods versus shakes.

This is only one example, but I recall Ian Harrison used to drink upwards of 15 shakes a day and only ate two real meals daily because he hated eating. There a plenty of reasons why the guy was a big as he was, but I don't think the liquid diet hurt him.

Nothing recent...maybe I'll try to snap something while I am in Hawaii next week...

well if I'm catabolic post work out, I'm sure as hell not going to eat a Chicken breast on my way out the gym. take a step back and ask a new question, whats the difference (to your body) between whey and Casein??? think about that for a minute and you'll get my point.

I generally avoid casein post workout because it slows down the absorption of whey...not exactly what you want PWO correct? The purpose of the PWO meal is to get nutrients to your muscles as fast as possible. I have heard it is good to have another meal with slower digesting proteins about an hour after your PWO meal if you are interested in staying anabolic for a longer amount of time.

What it your current PWO regime Dave?
