I know this is the case but dont know enough about protein products to know which are the quality brands and which are not.
Historically I went for the deal and I am sure this was a mistake.
What are the top quality product products out there?

I just noted they sell pea protein.
It appears pea protein is a complete protein and will help build muscle and the BV appears to be very high.
Is this just hype or can one use pea protein as a supplement to help build muscle?

You can think large companies like Gaterade that went out and bought up all the whey, it's driven the price up quite a bit in the last couple years.

However, I've had pea protein and it tastes fine.

True that.. sucks how expensive whey has gotten. Only cheap whey ive found is the muscletech 5 lb bags they sell at sams club for like 32 bucks.. unbeatable price on whey.. but the pea protein price on there bests it and with more protein per serving, and slightlt more servings per 5 lb.. damn of the shipping wasnt so high thatd be the craziest deal on protein lol, i still will probably give em a whirl when i stock up.. 20lbs or so

Sweet, ill look into it. This muscle tech isnt nitro tech, its some low budget 100% whey protein. I figure it has tons of useless shit in it and its low grade, but i only drink one scoop of protein powder a day post workout and the rest is whole foods, i can handle a low quality powder for that price no more than i use it lol

I've tried just about every protein and True Nutrition has never given me any digestive issues. Although I used ON in the past, TN is less expensive and I prefer to give my business to them.

Team Skip is little pricier blend, but IMO well worth it. I like it in Premium Dutch Chocolate Fudge and French Vanilla Cream. WPI Cold Filtration has a very clean taste and takes well to almost all flavors, especially the fruite flavors like banana bash and strawberries and cream.

To reduce cost you can mix WP cold filtration with a concentrate and make a great tasting affordable blend. (My code: KSP945 )

I do believe Pea Protein has a complete amino acid profile, however may be lacking in several aminos, so combining with an isolate and possibly concentrate (to keep cost down), would be a very viable strategy.

I was just checking to see what a decent blend would cost and using 50% pea protein, 30% Concentrate and 20% WPI Cold Filtration it comes out to $6.70 per pound...not to shabby.

Its interesting you mention the metals. I was recently comparing flavors, TN Dutch Chocolate against Myofusion Chocolate. So I just took a 1/2 tsp of each dry, the TN taste super clean, and the Myofusion definitely had a metal after taste. I was curious what metal I was actually ingesting...
