even still, VPN accounts are mapped to some type of traceable currency.. VPN servers log the IP that initiates the VPN connection.
so at every point you are at the mercy of your financial institution, your ISP, VPN provider, email service, etc.

investigative agency: ISP ABC(or VPN provider EFG), who is using IP x.x.x.x at this date/time ?
