PRP therapy

I did a forum search and came up empty. I’m curious if any of you guys have tried this therapy and how were the results? I was supposed to have it done a couple years ago for an injury but wound up goin downrange before I could have it done. With my shoulder surgery I’m curious if this may help speed up recovery? I appreciate any and all input.

I had it done for an elbow. Heavy lifting and BJJ gave me a bunch of micro tears that refused to heal at all. Did two injections over four months and no working out with that arm and was able to lift after 6 months. But it took about 9-10 months not feel any pain and be able to do my normal working out.

Just how bad was the injury? Were you immobile to where you couldn’t use that arm prior to the prp? Or did you just decide that was the best option?
