Quad injection...hurting like hell!

I injected my quad for the first time Thursday and it was so sore I could barely put any weight on it. It is loosening up quite a bit today but still quite sore. Did I do something wrong? I hit the outside where the hamstring and the quad meet a little above mid leg. It didn't hurt when injecting but that night started hurting. Anything to worry about or just being a first time quad shot?

what was it that you injected. if you hit a nerve there you would know it. maybe you were a bit shakey while injecting? i dunno.

i injected cyp and EQ. It took a bit to get the needle through. I may have been shakey, not sure. I didn't hit a vein. Like I said no pain injecting, just extremely sore afterwards!

Probably just trauma from being injected the first time

That stuff shouldn't hurt (I'm sure you know that). My guess it'll be better (less pain), each time you use quads.

Same thing happened to me Thuge. It felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat for like 3 days. Now I only stick to glute, delt injects for the most part

I figured thats what it was but Jesus, I was so sore and tight last night it was making me nervous! Hope I can hit DC legs on Monday! Should I hit them hard DC style or no?

...LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT....YOU INJECTED ON THE SIDE OF YOUR LEG..THE OUTSIDE, RIGHT IN THE GROVE WHERE THE QUAD AND HAM MEET? WELL, I FOR ONE HAVE NEVER INJECTED IN THAT SPECIFIC AREA, AS I AM EXTEMELY TIGHT RIGHT THERE...IT FEELS LIKE A STEEL BAND. I WONDER IF THATS THE PROBLEM? I AM NOT CRACKING ON YOU....I AM TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT AS WELL.

next time hit the medial head. It's easier. It will still be sore from first time injecting but it is easier-

I was told by someone who knows what they are talking about as far as injections to inject there. No biggie, I will hit glutes and delts from now on!

I have to agree with Jt that thats a weird place imo.
As long as its in the muscle though I guess thats all that matters.
I do mine midway between the growing and the knee in the outer sweep.

To me the place your desribing seems to low, almost in the back of the leg.
regardless I think youll be fine and go ahead and train away.

The quads scare me for some reason and now they really do..lol! I think my delts and glutes are fine..lol!

For everyone sticking their quads, the easiest (and proper) way is to just sit on the edge of your bed with your quads relaxed and hit the center. For you guys that have to carry an epi pen.... it's the same place
