Question about low dose (250mg DNP) cycle

I saw a huge thread on this awhile ago and didn't want to threadjack as I had specific questions.

I've seen many cases where individuals would say a 21 day cycle is pushing it while some say it's fine.

I was planning to run 2 weeks at 250mg and then the last week at 500, for a total of 21 days.

As for training I pretty much do little to no cardio and lift 3-4 days out of the week. Diet is 1800-2000 calories.

What do you guys think? Regarding DNPs activity/life and staying on the safe side, should I do 250mg everyday at 8am or would spreading the dosage out throughout the week be better? For example, 250mg Monday at 8am, 250mg Tuesday at 8pm?

I was also thinking about stacking this with T3/Clen but decided not to, just for haps.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Would like to do this before I leave the country in late August (30th).

edit: Forgot to mention, I will be using crystals..

You didn't say how much weight you have to drop.

Ramping up from 250 to 500 is a bad idea IMO. You'll go from feeling a bit ill to feeling like shit.

21 days is fine, but I'd go 7 days on and 3 off, and do 500 the whole way.

You're gonna have to do cardio to get the most out of it. Each calorie burned (according to the bike or whatever) will be more like 1 1/2. Your training will have to take a big cut because you will be tired and weak. Oh, DNP is protein-sparing btw, unlike T3.

You'll hear that night is the best time to take it, and you might as well do that, but in a few days you'll hit steady-state blood levels, where you don't have major peaks and dips.

DNP suppresses output of T3, so you'll want to take that. I'd start with 25mcg, move to 50 3 days later, and drop back down to 25 the day you stop - and run it for 3-4 days after you stop the DNP. This should help a little with lethargy. Some people will tell you to run higher doses of T3 -- I just like to be careful with my thyroid.

Woops, forgot that.

I'm looking to drop roughly 25-30lbs, at the moment I am around 211, 5'11. I had previously bulked up to 230.

Also, I had previously ran a clen/t3 stack while cutting down from 230 and have been off of it for a while, however, I will pick back up the T3 sans the clen. For the most part, I'm considering implementing cardio like this:

Monday = lift
Tuesday = cardio
Wednesday = lift
Thursday = cardio
Friday = lift
Sat/Sun = rest.

(Cardio being a 1hr jog)

I left out the fact that at the moment I have nothing to do besides a class at night time...so I literally don't have to go anywhere or be anywhere until 9pm at night.

So you were saying, you think it would be best to run it at 500mg 7 days a week, off for 3 days, and then another 500mg for 7 days for the total of 21 days? I have been reading where some state that higher dose = quicker results in shorter time, as opposed to lower dosages = longer time requirements but an increased ability to handle sides. Thoughts? What do you think about spreading out the dosages for a first time cycle?

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry bro, you might be able to drop 30lbs in 3 weeks, but I wouldn't even think of trying it -- not for a first-timer certainly. I'd plan on a pound a day if you up your cardio. You're going to have to do it every day. Remember, you burn about the same amount of calories whether you walk five miles or jog it or run it. You're going to feel ill, and the harder you do your cardio the worse you'll feel. You said you have time to spare -- so slow down your pace, but keep the same distance, or increase it.

Go 45min-1hour in the morning and the same after dinner -- that'll help burn off the carbs you just ate. Also, the slower pace will burn a higher ratio of fat to carbs, and you won't have much free carbs in your system, so you won't wear yourself down. Ok, that should be enough on that subject.

Yes, running a higher dose will drop weight faster and make the sides worse. With your schedule you don't have a choice. 500mg/d is safe -- just drink lots of water. All the time.

Ok, if you have exactly 21 days, I would do 500mg/d for six days, off two, six on, off two, and 5 more days on to equal 21. In fact, if you don't feel that bad after six days, you can drop to 250mg. I just wouldn't do 21 straight days at 500mg crystal. Just know that your sides will take a few days to clear up after your last dose.

Awesome, gotcha. So in closing, just to be safe, how does

250mg 6 days, rest three
250mg 6 days, rest three
500mg 5 days, rest three

sound to you? Just so I'm not wolfing down 500mg as a starter..

Or should I be ramping down the dosage at the end instead of increasing it?

I don't see any point in cycling the dosage. What is your reasoning PF? I would just stay at steady dosing until I was at/near my goal only increasing the dosing if ABSOLUTELY necessary.

So 250mg for the length of the 21 days sounds good to you too?

Personally, I run my DNP cycles this way. Not saying this is the way everyone should do it, this is just my protocol. Days 1-3 250mgs, Days 4-7 500mgs, Days 8-21 750mgs. At 750, you will sweat like a beast and your strength would go down. 500 is probably a good dose for you untill you have allot of experience with it. I dont take any breaks because DNP takes time to build up in the system and taking a three day break seems counter productive IMO. Main thing is to stay hydrated. Also you need to do cardio as much as you can. I suggest sucking it up and doing some cardio every single day while on DNP. Like I said before this is how I do it, Ive done 10 or so DNP cycles and had great results.

Good advice, although most research would suggest that t3 supplementation (at low doses of dnp at least) is not necessary. I've had astounding results without ever using it.

30lbs in 3 weeks is pretty crazy lol! If I execute it the same each time (2800cals, 1-3 EC stacks, 400mg DNP, upping to 600mg when tolerance increases, 3 cardio sessions PW) I can reliably drop about 6lbs of fat every 7-8 (this is almost always when I need a 2-3 day break, as suggested).

The above advice is good. Dropping 30lbs of fat probably is possible but I really think you'll be putting way too much strain on your body. But yeah, if I was to do that, I'd do what I've just outlined but do about 45 mins of cardio, 7 days a week. You could easily dehydrate though, although I've gone for around that duration in the heat plenty of times without water (I was fully hydrated beforehand though) and I've been fine. I wouldn't recommend it though; it's just what I've done.

You will need an EC stack though!

Edit - I'll add to that, if you eat like 1000cals below maintenance (probs 1500-2000 cals for a lot of people) and do cardio every day, you probs can drop 30lbs in 3 weeks but you'll feel like sh1t and let's be realistic here; you could die if you don't know what you're doing.

First time using DNP, 250mg for 21 days along with T3 25-50mcg will be Great enough! Your diet needs to be strict and do cardio twice a day.

Just remember the half life is about 36 hours so you're not going to cool down for a day and a half.

You should also look into running ECA to help with the energy levels.

Eat lots of fruit. For some reason it helps in not making you feel as bad.

I would also be taking 3-5g of vitamin C, R-ALA, Pyruvate and selenium to help with all of the free radicals and toxins you're going to be exposed to.

Good luck.

Thanks for all of the advice guys.

I think I will worry about 500mg when my second run comes along (knock on wood)

I'll stick with 250mg for the length of the 21 days at 2200 cals, cardio everyday along with T3.

I'll also keep this thread updated with my progress once I begin.

I like your plan but would never touch T3, personally. I don't think you need it but to each, his own. Good luck!

EDIT:

Conciliator said:
DNP doesn't shut down the thyroid. This is a common myth. AAS and DNP have a similar effect on thyroid, through a similar mechanism of action. While androgens reduce the concentration of thyroid binding globulin (TBG), DNP occupies thyroid binding proteins, which has the same result... less protein to bind to thyroid. This may initially result in higher serum levels and accelerated clearance, but after a short term alteration in thyroid function a new steady state is soon reached in which thyroid function is normal, despite potentially reduced serum levels of total T4 and total T3. As one paper on DNP explained, "this action could lower the total hormone concentration in serum but should have no persistent effect on thyroid function". This means that even though the level of thyroid hormones in the blood can potentially be lower than normal, thyroid function will still be normal. What I've seen happen most of the time, however, is that thyroid levels hardly change.

There's a case study that's often posted as evidence for thyroid dysfunction from DNP, but I'm of the opinion that the bodybuilders in question had low thyroid levels not because of the DNP, but because they were taking T3 during their cycle. Exogenous T3 definitely will suppress endogenous production. I had a Norwegian translate the paper and it was unclear why they had low thyroid levels. They didn't test for reverse thyroid when they could have, which would have made the cause clearer.

I also have a friend who's a doctor of internal medicine who ran 600mg/day of crystal DNP for 3-4 months (went from 320 lbs down to the mid 200's). He gave himself frequent blood tests and said his thyroid didn't budge. I've heard feedback from several others who did blood work showing the same thing.

I'm just not convinced that DNP results in any thyroid dysfunction. You definitely do NOT need to take thyroid along with DNP. Considering how notoriously catabolic thyroid is, I'd recommend leaving it out of your dieting plan.

EDIT:

Awesome.

Looks like I'll be leaving it out.

One pill a day is fine? I think I read Conciliator tell someone to do one today, skip a day and then the next later. Or perhaps that was someone else...

I've seen him tell people NOT to take days off and just run it straight. 250 mgs crystal seems fine but I don't know you or your particular sensitivities. Only you will be able to answer that.

you can run DNP at a low dose for as long as you need with minimal side effects. I ran it for 12weeks and had great results (52lbs lost). I did go up on the dose(500-600mg) for a few weeks but most of the time was spent around 200-400mg a day where I would split the dose evenly throughout the day. When I was doing the 200mg dose I could do my lifting with minimal affect of my strength/endurance and my cardio endurance wasn't affected at all as I would run up to 4miles most days and swim for upwards of an hour during the week as well. Not all can do that, but I was able to. Also, I ran my DNP while keeping contact with "conciliator" so I just did what he suggested. Keep the diet clean and do some form of cardio daily even if its only 20min on days you don't want to. Just my $.02

What kind of weight loss do you guys think is realistic on 2200cals, 5 days of cardio and 21 days at 250mg?

Wondering if I'll go ahead and run it for a month if it works out fine...or perhaps ramp the dose up at the last few days of the month...

I'd say 15-20lbs for crystal. Again, this is all relative to the individual.

Thanks.

Off topic, and I hope this is allowed, but is there an issue with genotec? I actually had to go with crystal as last resort due to him not replying anymore..
