Question about muscle/tendon tears....

Is it possible to have no symptoms of a tear when it happens? no pain, no swelling, no 'pop'?

The reason I ask is because I trained 2 days ago, and everything was fine. Then yesterday, my entire bicep is red and swollen. There is a little purple bruising at the bottom of my arm near the elbow, but most of it is just redness around the entire bi. It is most red and swollen where my bicep meets my delts.

I do inject bi's from time to time, and I know I did a shot in the bi's at some point last week, but nothing was showing until yesterday. I hope it is just a bad shot and not actual damage.

Purple means blood.. So something obviously happened. If you didn't feel anything then it's probably not bad if it is a minor tear.
But ill tell you this... One time I injected into my ventroglute everything was fine. Couple days later the area was purple and bruised, huge bruise, but no pain. It looked like a bad tear but I didn't feel anything happen. So I guess weird shit can happen.

I'm hoping that may be it.
I may have really irritated the injection depot during my training two days ago, and the bruising and swelling began to show yesterday.

I wouldn't say it's painful, but it is not comfortable. I have full range of motion, I just feel a tender sort of lumpiness to it when I flex my arm.

I've had depots that felt like that before, but I've never had one cause an entire muscle to swell and turn red, which is what is leading me to believe it may be an injury instead.

Only way to know for sure is MRI

depends on the degree of tear

if its a full tear ull know about it, ur arm will be useless and miss shaped and fukin painful

wat you describe sounds like a possible minor tear, so dont stress to much, best to just get it cheked before you use your bicep again training and doc will determine best treatment based on degree of the tear

if it is minorely torn its likely you could do a full tear if your strain ur bicep again,

then your in for it
