Question about Synthetine

I just got my bottle in today and I noticed something that I hadn't before.

Everytime I poke a needle on the rubber stopper it leaves a little hole of very noticeable size. Edit: I mean, of noticeable size, bigger than the ones you'd leave in a vial's rubber stopper.

Is this normal ? I wouldn't want the solution to get contaminated. Of course it's for oral use...

Share the answer b/c I've searched and apparently read the wrong threads. I know it won't leak, but the top looks like it will never last.

You're supposed to draw it with a very small gauge needle, 27-30g.

And there's two teflon layers on the stopper. The one underneath seals the hole after you pull the pin.

Unfortunately my Synthetine is no longer sterile anyway

After I made the thread I checked the package and there was a letter from customs saying they unsealed the vial for inspection of the contents ( I'm not in the US, laws are different).

Brazil.

The government here does whatever it wants regarding customs (so they can tax the shit out of everything for whatever reason possible) and I can't complain since it's their law and I'm a foreigner anyway.

Now why would they open a sealed bottle, where the contents are written on the side, is beyond me. It's not like I'd be ordering liquid Anthrax from Australia.

Yes Synthetek uses a very sophisticated double teflon stopper on their bottles...No reason to worry about shredding up the top one! Also the oil is so thin that it will draw easily through a slin pin with no problems!

It didn't happened the other times I ordered, so I'm hoping it's a "once in a lifetime" thing. At least now they know what the Synthetek is and won't need to open more bottles.

Yeah living here is very nice, I'm not a fan of the constant heat, but the ladies here more than make up for it
