My 15yr old son came home from school today after football training and said dad these bumps have been itching and hurting a little and with further looking I think he has Ringworm in 3 different spots. I have never personally had this so I was wondering what is the best way to get this stuff to start healing and go away? I read that apple cider vinegar helps dry it out? Thanks yall

It's a fungus (not an actual worm) IIRC, and I had bird dogs years ago that had it and I treated it with the same anti-fungal spray that you use for athlete's feet.

Ok, I'm headed to cvs and just wanted to get something that would work fairly quick if possible.

Why wouldn't you take him to the doctor to be sure that's what it is? If so, he can prescribe him anti-fungal medication.

All 3 of my sons wrestled in high school, and when they got ringworm, we went to CVS and got a tube of Lotrimin ULTRA... It worked within a few days... You have to keep putting it on the infected spots until it is GONE.. Regular Lotrimin wont work, has to be the ultra.. Hope this helps!

I have 2 sons that wrestle as well Lotrium Ultra is the way to go if it is ring worm. There is a medication that the doctor can prescribe for severe cases
( like if it is in your hair ) Nizoral I believe

I think it was Lotrimin Ultra that I used for my dogs, but after re-reading your post, you said "bumps." My dogs never had bumps. They had a nickel to quarter size red spot.
