Question on using Amps

This is probably a dumb question, but what would cause the liquid contents of an amp to turn "jelly-like" as soon as I use it for the first time? It has happened now with 2 different items from 2 different sources. Just bad batches, or am I doing something wrong?

Do you mean after you draw from a vial the first time, the rest of the contents turn to jelo like consistancy?
First off, what kind of gear.
If you are drawing from an ampule, you should be drawing the entirety of it's contents. If you have more volume in the amp than you intend to use at one time, you should be depositing the contents of the gear into sterile vials and drawing from those for your doses.
Don't confuse ampules and vials.
