Questions for guys running high carb diets

Man I wish 350 was a high carb day for me. 350 is on the low end of a low day for me. At my biggest I was eating 8-900 grams a day

I am the same. I regularly have around 200g carbs in my post workout meal alone. Although generally it's 100-150g carbs per meal if I am pushing carbs. A standard day for me is at least 400g carbs. I am on low carbs now though (just started) but on training days that's still around 300g and about 200g on non training days.

For real. Even while dieting I still usually include some Gatorade with some of my meals so I don’t have to eat so many carbs from rice

I know I am late to the thread but just wanted to share my experience with carbs.

I was at my leanest and strongest (strength to body weight ratio) on a 80% carb, 10% fat, 10% protein food plan.

Funny - going back to how everybody's bodies differ, I'm the exact opposite. I'm about 60% fat, 30% protein and 10% carbs.

Those carbs come from fruit and veggies, however, sat & sun that flips to your macro's 80% carb, 10% fat, 10% protein. I'm at my leanest and strongest and leanest with this combo....give or take.

Yes, you are unique, just like everybody else.

True story. I could eat as much as I wanted as long as I stayed with those
macros. And I ate a lot. I lost weight; some muscle I suspect and I
know some fat too.

I was doing a ton of rock climbing at the time and it sure helped being
strong and light but I would never win a bodybuilding contest ;)

Lean yes, big no. But it is all an illusion anyway. People I was climbing
with who saw me at the time with my shirt off (rare) could not believe
how good I looked. They took some fotos of me but I have lost contact
with them (they divorced) years and years ago so I can't back this one up.
Too bad.

Never high volume, I am not that kind of guy. Full body, 3X per week.

Cardio then? Never. Unless you consider hauling climbing gear around
with you on the weekends. But other then that, no, never during the week.
I was too busy climbing on my climbing wall I built in my garage and on
the rocks I glued on the concrete under every bridge in town :)

100-150 grams would be the highest for me (not counting fruits or vegetables).

Heck . . . if I were to venture a guess I would be somewhere between
50g and 75g on a good day. Guess that is whey I don't look as good as
you guys. But I am still able to gain strength and put on a small amount
of size here and there (excepting legs) even at my advanced age of 67.

After the covid enforced break, and a longinh break (for me, 6 weeks,)
traveling I lost 15 lbs. That, some fat, some muscle is a piece of
cake to put back on . . . minus the fat I can di this could do it in my
sleep it is tat easy. A no brainer.

Had a new guy nicely ask me if I would not mind telling him my age. I
said sure, no problem. He was stunned. He said I better than the big
guys (fat for the sake if size, big mistake) in the gym, leaner and
better conditioning, I was his role model. I said you are setting your
sights too low ;) but thank you any way.

Lol, I don't look great at all, but I just like having the high fat and protein and not the carbs. In fact, I will only have those 100 grams of cars in a couple of meals after training, and only for a few weeks after a cut when I am gaining weight and trying to build new muscle.

Always trying new things depending on program. I generally use high carbs, proteins 1.2-2.25g, low fats. Am going to try a Higher Fat Off Season Bulk, kinda Modified Mediterranean type foods with less red/whole dairy. We shall see; staying away from my Cube Steak Brekkie will be hard(on Bulk).
