its basically just a box thats sturdy enough to stand on and pull from while standing on it(basically the same thing you would use for a box squat). i belong to a powerlifter friendly gym so i have access to boxes and such. you could also stand on plates as well. what it basically does is make it a fuller range of movement while deadlifting, so when you go back to doing standard deadlifts you'll be stronger and be able to do them more easily. pretty much the same principle as doing straight legs off a box as well.
these are amazing for overall back size and strength. I would recommend doing them to below your kneecaps for maximum gains. I've been doing them for roughly 2 months now, and my back has grown by leaps and bounds.
Added a set of Rack Deads to my w/o today - definitely felt em but moreso in my lower back at the time. Now a few hours later, I am feeling it in my upper back and traps.
Is the lower back stress normal for these or should I drop the weight down to ensure my form stays clean? My back is a weak point and am hoping these might break me out of a growth block.
