I just finished watching Raising the Bar 1 and 2 and have to say these two video's are excellent. They're well put together, informative and entertaining. I wish there was a part 3 to be honest. Its provided me with good motivation these last few days while im doing my cardio. Dave's drive and determination are almost crazy, but anyone who's been involved and knows what you have to do to win understands.

Great job Mike. I think ANYONE who is looking to compete should watch these video's to see what getting ready for a competition is all about. It has everything from diet, training, cardio, supplements, posing, what goes on at a show, what it feels like to be depleted and deprived......EVERYTHING.

Obviously Dave has answered a lot of questions in his other thread but i have a couple. I hope they haven't already been asked.

Is Dave and Jen still together? Dave, when you look at yourself on video going through the contest prep what is your perception of yourself? Did you finally figure out it was the diuretics causing you to cramp EVERY show? jk.

Seriously, great video gentleman. I wish there could have been a 3rd.....or is there?

I agree, I have RTB 1 and love it! I cant wait to get RTB 2, and I do believe Mike said RTB 3 is in the works great job guys on the video's

Thanks guys!

As a matter of fact, I am finishing up my latest project right now, a documentary on IFBB pro Vicki Nixon called Beyond the Pain, and I am beginning the preliminary editing work on RTB3.

I don't want to give too much away but Dave and Jenn did give it another try. How it turned out...well, you'll just have to wait and see!! In RTB3 Dave makes his final attempt at getting a pro card before he retires and, as usual, I follow him every difficult step of the way toward that prize!

If any of you haven't see RTB1 & 2, here is a link to some clips...

I'm curious to see what Dave has to say about the other questions!

unfortunately, when i watch myself on video, all i see are my flaws, where i need to improve. every once in a great while, ill see a clip and think. "wow, i look great there", but very rarely. i have become wayyy too critical. i suppose that is also what makes me a good competitor..an ability to look objectively at myself. i also think i come across as obsessive when i watch myself...again, this is necessary to compete at the national level....at least for me.

i always knew the dieuretics were causing the problem..i was simply in search of a way to fix the problem WITHOUT removing the dieuretics. lol!

Thats what i was looking for. I know sometimes when your in the 'zone' you dont really know or care how you go about things until you see it from a different perspective. Your dedication is definitely inspiring......considering most of your family seemed to be against it. Your Dad was great though, seems like a really good guy.

What ever happened to Lance and Al?

So far Lance hasn't been able to get his act together to get in shape for another contest. I doubt he ever will.

Al is still plugging away. He's gotten into mixed martial arts fighting but hasn't yet fought in a competition so that I can videotape him. Al is a big part of RTB3 because he went on the road trip with me and Dave to Cleveland for Dave's contest. We couldn't have done it without him!

Mike, when is the anticipated date for RTB 3?

BTW, clean out your pm box...lol.

I'm working on it now and it'll probably take till this fall until it's ready.

I just emptied the PM box!!! LOL!
