First off, I dont know Mike Pulcinella or Dave Pulcinella...and with all my years in bodybuilding I dont think I have ever meet Dave Pulcinella at a show or anything (which suprises me)...So I dont want anyone to think, im getting anything out of this...OK now on to my review...
Raising the Bar (1) - this actully was my favorite documentry/movie out of the 3 DVD's..Why, I think I like the fact that Dave was making a comeback, and wanted to win the Deleware State show, even though he coundnt really compete in it (You'll find out why if you buy the movie) I think personally, I gives you the true inside world of Dave's disipline and how hard he diets (alot harder than me, I need to step it up now !!!) It wasnt as professional looking as 2 or 3 (RTB 3 was very professional looking) but it for some reason to me, it had me wanting more...I dont know why, I cant really say why, but it really caught my attention...
Raising the Bar (2) - I liked this series of the movie but, not as much as the first one or number 3...I think this one had a more one demensional look to it, as it had more a focus on one thing (Dave's show prep, his mental state) But, it was a good documentry, just didnt catch my attention as much as one or three...(Maybe I need to watch it again)
Raising the Bar (3) - Was the most professional looking, and had alot of the relationship side in the movie to...I mean you get to see more of the family side of things and how Dave's family reacts to Dave's bodybuilding lifestyle...Aslo you get to see how hard it is to have a true relationship in bodybuilding (to be a high level competor) and make it work...by far the best look into how hard it is to be a great bodybuilder with family/relationships...
Honestly I loved them all and it was money well spent...It inspried me, to take my prep more seriously, it insirped FitSarah to take her prep to the next level...Im being dead serious here...This past week is the first time I have seen that EYE OF the TIGER look in her...Her plan was to just do the Continnetal USA or the Mid states Naturals but now she wants to do Nationals with me in November...
If you got 54 dollars to spend I would advise you to spend it on these great movies and be inspired and see how true life is as a top level bodybuilder...Well for Dave Pulcinell at least...
