Hello all,
Before I go into my experience, I believe I must apologize for some of the wiseass remarks I have made on this forum in the past, and I will refrain from doing so in the past.
I have been a bodybuilding fan for a long time and have been training for quite some time too. I am now 37 years old, and FINALLY going into my first two shows, one natural show for the ANBF in Brick, NJ, on October 15th, and one NPC show, The New England Champs, on October 29th, in Boston, both as a middleweight.
As I have stated several times on this board, I have NEVER done a cycle or touched juice, but I have been on TRT ONLY--and when I say TRT, I don't mean "TRT doses", but TRT provided by a urologist/andrologist--since I was diagnosed with hypogonadism at 22 years old. I had no previous roid use, no pituitary injury, no testicular injury, just nothing to explain the situation. It is simply idiopathic.
Now, I know when discussing TRT, people will correct me (or attempt to), and say something like, "Testosterone is a steroid". I know that of course it is a steroid, but when I say, "I never juiced", I am assuming people will have the intellect to distinguish the context in which I speak!
Anyway, whether TRT gives an unfair advantage (and TRT should ONLY give normal physiological values--otherewise it's not TRT [MEDICINE]) is a whole different story. All I know is that the ANBF is the only so-called natural organization that allows the use of TRT provided that there is medical documentation for need and blood values and the competitor is not using TRT for any one leg up. So that's where I must enter a show for "natural bodybuilding". I wrote to officials of the INBF/WNBF with my plight and got turned down.
The second show, the NPC show, I will be doing because I will still be in shape, the timing lines up with the first one, and I am loving this process more and more! For awhile I had a love/hate relationship with BB. Hence the snide remarks here and there. But now I am hooked. It feels like I feel it running through my blood! So I just wanted to share some of my passion here.
For the record, I have NEVER used anything but my medicine in medicinal doses with the aim for normal physiological values. That is: 10 grams of Androgel or Testim for years, and then switched over to 100 mg T cypionate for the rest of the time, til the current day. I usually test for T in the 700s to 800s.
So for people to say that I am "enhanced" and put me int he same category as enhanced men who have values of god knows what, on many multiples of the clinical dose seems a bit disingenuous. But again, that's a whole other discussion. I want to just share my passion here.
I know I have just a medium frame and not the best genes (though I think they are good/decent) in the world, but I am doing my best, and pushing myself to the limit. My natural pro friend (WNBF) is helping me with all this for diet and cardio and training, as well as some pointers from my IFBB pro friend.
Any constructive criticism is welcome. Again, I do not plan to be snotty on here again!
Here are some pics.
