I guess if who ever you bought from sends one to you and you get ripped off is a real way to receive a fake letter.

I would just call the phone number on the letter and say I didn't order anything why did i get this note...

you could research the place you ordered from, and ask other customers

If customs sends one, it's real. If what you are saying is true about sponsors sending out fakes then that's some fucked up shit.

I have never heard of anyone getting a fake letter, not saying that it couldnt happen. It is conceivable because everyone is told to not call the number and just throw it away like you never got it, so pulling it off wouldnt necessarily be too difficult. You you could do like mentioned above and call the number and say you dont understand why you are getting a letter when you never ordered anything, just inquire about it like a mistake. It is messed up that someone would do that but it could very well happen.

Well you'd have to do a little research 1st of all.. You could find out if seizure letters have actual stamps on them, or just a pre-paid government marking (my guess).. If it's the latter, that would be pretty hard if not impossible to fake, because those don't even have postmarks on them I don't think.. If the letters do have real stamps, then you could look at the postmark that's on it, which will say where it was initially processed.

Highly unlikely. If someone has a fake seizure letter, they made it themselves to try to get free stuff from the sponsor they got dvd's from claiming the order was seized by customs. Hoping for a resend which makes them a reverse scammer

I know it goes both ways, people making their own trying to get free shit as well as certain advanced stealth companies (hint hint) who pull this shit. I have received one seizure letter in my life. It was an off centered xerox copy with my name written in. I usually have to sign on an electronic device for receipt, but this time I had to sign a slip of paper. You may think this is a fake, I don't. You have to know your source. I've placed many large orders to my video store for mega bucks and it's gotten through. This order that didn't make it....only one dvd and not expensive. Not to mention I get special deals because I rent so many. You just have to know your source.
