Ok I posted this over at IM and would like to see some others responses plus I find bb'ers can sometimes be the best cooks and get some interesting recipes.
Food has always been where it makes and breaks the big boys.
Ok it's time for you guys to put your money where your mouth is and post some pics of your meals.
I am going to start posting some pics of meals and perhaps a few recipes here and there that are high quality protein. One of my favorite foods now in the morning is Whole eggs cooked over medium in olive oil.
The eggs are omega III eggs and the flavor of them cooked in the OO is incredible.

I have also prepared A LOT of what I call DC Fried Chicken (named in honor of Doggcrapp as he turned me onto O Oil a few years ago) which is basically chicken deep fried in OO as well. (can someone say frydaddy)
I have more recipes I just need time to make and post them. Another favorite is chicken salad made with Omega III mayonaise **broken link removed**
And everyonce in a while I'll make tuna salad with fresh tuna and crab and shrimp salad with the omega III mayo.

Post your food pics here.

This is a pic of Grilled chicken legs I coated them with a light OO spread with some grilling spices and they were very good. This was my second plate the first diappeared rather quickly. *burp*

Man those look good-although I'd have to dowse them in my homeade hotsauce of course...

anyone have the EXACT recipe for the chicken pic in the first post??

Big thanks!!

For some reason I have become a huge fan of chicken kabobs as of late. This grocery store by my house called AJ's has them all put together but it was getting too expensive. I like baking them to be honest. I do most of my cooking in the oven because it allows me to not have to watch my food so closely. These things have the best sauce I have ever tasted its called "Arizona Zing" sauce. I like just peppers and oninos and then just either bake em or grill them. Regardless you cant go wrong. By the way the ones at the meat counter at that store weigh about a pound and a half a piece and its almost all chicken! Seeing this thread reminds me I need to eat waaaaay more than I do...its always been a problem of mine.

PS thats not my work on the grill but looking at that makes me want to eat about 10lbs of chicken and steak tonight:D

Olive Oil is a great fat source in any healthy diet, but it is best used as an un-heated condiment, cooking with it destroys alot of its health benefits and can turn it into the dredded Trans Fat that is not desirable in any healthy diet. Oils with high 'smoke points', in other words, those which do not break down at deep frying temperatures, are your best option for frying food, considering deep frying should only be done in oil heated to 350-375. Peanut oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, and canola oil are some good choices.

Coconut oil is also a perfectly healthy cooking oil for medium heat (under 350) despite its being 90+% saturated fat.

If anyone wants to kill a week and get some really great info on dietary fats read "Fats That Heal Fats That Kill" by Udo Erasmus (the same guy that make "Udo's Choice Oil Blend" that many of us use).

I'll try'n get a recipe and pics of Something on here, being as that was what this thread was supposed to be.

One of my favorite's is turkey deep fried in peanut oil. But it cant be good for you...can it? Never sure so it's just been a thanksgiving thing. I'll see if I can find a picture of this years bird.

This thread inspired me to get a primanti's black angus and fish sadwich this wekeend...mmmmmmmmmm

I should have known better than to open this thread while dieting...

Everlast has been using his wok lately and making some great stir-fry meals. Last night was london broil with mushrooms & peas for just an example. One night we has shrimp & scollops with veggies. YUMMY!

I remember someone posting a website a fair while back which stated the smoke/flash points and other details about lots of oils and fats, i think it had an orange/brown backround.
A low GI, high protein cookie to anyone who can find it.

If your chicken is coming out soggy your either a) Your oil temp was too low b) you added too much chicken to too little oil and the temp dropped

The hot oil will act like "searing" a steak b4 cooking. It will create a barrier not allowing oil to penetrate.

Sounds like I'm not the only one who watches Good Eats on the Food network.:D
