You’ll make through it bro. Just focus on the relevant current issue. Gettin you cancer free. And you’ll do just that.
Hey Brother,Its been a few rough weeks. .... They will chemicaly castrate you for up to 2 years. To me that would be the hardest part. ....
Thanks for sharing, even though I need more time to read it and understand itHey Brother,
VERY sorry to hear about this diagnosis. You've got a lot of support here as you are seeing! My father died of prostate cancer - It was the last round of chemo that got him, actually - long story...
As has been alluded to, opinions are mixed as far as the causative role of testosterone in prostate cancer and chemical castration / androgen deprivation therapy is controversial.
This article (and the references cited therein) might be of value to you and / or perhaps a second opinion about the chemical castration:

Learning from the “tail end” of de-implementation: the case of chemical castration for localized prostate cancer - Implementation Science Communications
Background Men with prostate cancer are often treated with the suppression of testosterone through long-acting injectable drugs termed chemical castration or androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). In most cases, ADT is not an appropriate treatment for localized prostate cancer, indicating low-value...implementationsciencecomms.biomedcentral.com

I'm in no way qualified to give medical advice (but I do highly suggest trying to make anything remotely close to a final medical decision based on internet opinions), so pretty much regardless of the question, my take is to talk to you doctor. Thanks for sharing, even though I need more time to read it and understand itso with that in mind, could deca be a good anabolic to use while been treated?
I meant, when you are going through cancer treatment, so just in theory, what would you use,? And thank very much for your response, I highly appreciate it!I'm in no way qualified to give medical advice (but I do highly suggest trying to make anything remotely close to a final medical decision based on internet opinions), so pretty much regardless of the question, my take is to talk to you doctor.
[Plus, I don't know what you mean by "being treated," exactly. If you mean using nandrolone when one has decided that androgen deprivation is the way to go, that wouldn't be my first inclination, but again, I'm no expert here.]

Yes. Absolutely. Second and perhaps a third opinion if need be. It’s all about options.@bench529 Sorry to hear this! I would get a second opinion from a major cutting edge cancer center, regarding treatment. In the past I've mentioned Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY and UCSF in San Francisco.
I've told this story before, but I had an older customer who had prostate cancer. he went to Stanford and they got him 2 years past what they had predicted. I don't recall the initial time line. When Stanford told him there was nothing more they could do, he went to UCSF. I don't know what protocol or experimental treatment he may have done, but he wound up living another 7 years!! Best of luck with this!
Yes, I suspected you meant cancer treatment and specifically prostate cancer treatment, but there are various aspects to prostate cancer treatment. On the one hand, someone might have a prostatectomy. On the other hand, radioactive treatment of one sort or another. The former wouldn't typically happen with androgen deprivation (give no metastasis), I would imagine, but the latter could. So each person's answer to your question will depend on which cancer treatment strategies are being employed. FYI, r.e. options when it comes to prostate cancer treatment:I meant, when you are going through cancer treatment, so just in theory, what would you use,? Get yourself one or two of those fine young nurses to play with your pickle ball.So much to digest. Just want it gone and done. Ready to get it over and start recovering . A friend of mine who is a radiologist had his done at the same place ( Rush in Chicago). Teaching hospital associated with MD Anderson out of Dallas. In the mean time I will keep training, coaching and playing pickle ball. I appreciate all the positive vibe and prayers. . We are all a different breed than the average guy. Being out of the gym is tough.
Spent 4 days post surgery in the Hospital. My dr. noted the muscle mass in my abdominal wall what has made it painful. Today I improved allot from yesterday. They ended up taking more tissue around the one lymph node and removed a couple of more lymph nodes. Hopefully pathology comes back that I won't need radiation. Praying they got it all - the one node was subcentimeter mildly tracer avid lymph node from the PET Scan. On the prostrate one lesion was Geason 6 the other Gleason 8. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
