Refeed day?

this is what worked for me in the past.
First it depends on your weight. muscle mass and metabolism.
if you're at 250 C, I would double it and do 500 for one day. Low fat as possible.

Last show I refeeded twice a week with 500g of carbs. my metabolism was on fire and still got stage ready.
2 things that sucks about it, you can't track your progress due to holding water and can't keep track of weight. moral of story; I wouldn't do that again, but if you're just want to lose weight and you don't have a set date to get inshape; go for it

No you don't. You refeed, you increase your metabolism, sex drive, testosterone, mood.. ect.

Dorian said it best. I believe it was during his later preps after he learned his body best, when of course he was really lean or ripped. He would do it on a weekend , he said in an interview, he eat all these cereals and stuff he craved one day only, then he feels like a fat bastard and feel guilty lol then go at it on the diet

refeeds and cheats are best used for the mental aspect....
as the monotony of dieting can take a toll...

its not needed for any metabolism changes...its an excuse
to stuff your fat faces...

to me its just another tool....but its the screw driver
with the weird tip on it, in the bottom of the box, that
never gets used.... at my house...

it can be useful SOMETIMES, and effectively by people still
learning how their body works....once you figure it out....its
a dinosaur.

a BETTER more effect way to alter metab. is cycling carbs....but
people go to such extremes doing this, they don't understand it...

we use carb cycling to hold or stabilize a certain condition....whether
that be between shows....or holding a certain weight...

just another tool.....and kinda useless.....you guys read too much bb.com

Been thinking about carb cycling,can i start doing it now since i am 9 weeks out which seems a little bit short time....
 
Carb Refeed day is similar to carb cycling if one is low carb 0-100 daily and then once a week they have a Carb refeed day. Over the week it works out to probably the same amount of carbs versus a traditional low/high day carb week.

I find that weekly "cheat" meals are needed each week for date night with the wife. Once a week we go out and have a nice dinner and relax , if I'm dieting then I just get a lean steak and steamed asparagus. Much more important to keep momma happy during the prep so you have some support and not an opponent. So like you said it's definitely a mental helper

I agree. Know your body and learn what you respond to. Don't just do it cause some pro did it.. but

Don't discredit the research done on refeeds and leptin affects on metabolism. What's wrong with BB.com? Cmon bro, atleast they relay on research in their articles besides some the bro science on their forums.

Carb cycling has a high carb day in it.. that's a refeed.
You have a way of dieting that won't change cause it works for you. I'm not hating on that.. you figured out the formula for your body

Yes. My body responds very well to refeeds. Dorian is a smart guy, but little he knows he was restarting his metabolism engine with gas every time he did that.. [emoji41]

This is pretty much what I do.....for me it works....keeps it extremely easy to see how my body is working....
 
And another thing to add,currently i am on 300mg tren ace,300mg mast prop,200mg test prop per week with 60mcg clen and 50mcg t3 ed...does it make any diferrence whether i should refeed or not

Step trackers?what do you mean?

Yes hunger is here when i eat clean,even though after a reasonably large meal i will feel hungry after 2 or 3 hours...

This is pretty much what I do too....but it's more to keep my marriage healthy than it is for my metabolism. This is a very selfish sport and I try my best to balance that with my family life
 
Why step trackers?

Well why doesnt cardio work?
Because your body adapts

Tell a person to train and do an hour of cardio they end up laying in bed the rest of the day. Or on the couch. They also turn down simple things like going to the mall or whatever you people here do with yalls "social life"

So you have a person track steps. They end up being more "aware" of their activity/laziness
And in turn do things to be more active and increase neat
Ie take the stairs, park a a bit further at the store etc. The shit adds up over time

And if theyre behind due to being fat you add to their daily amount

I have a base of 10k steps a day for clients. Mandatory
And the most ive had to put one on during a cut is 12500. Really isnt that hard to get at all

trail and error. Some people do not need a refeed, some do. You won't know until you try it. Google skiploading and read on it. Skip is a smart guy and he will teach you a thing or 2
