I know how a refeed works and I've never tried this, but do you guys keep it simple with carbs that digest well or more processed foods as long as the fat content is low? Looking for ideas and suggestions. I appreciate the feedback
 
What is your goal with this strategy?

- Enjoy a little junk food.
- Re-activate the metabolism after weeks of diet.
- Load carbs for a competition.

Personally, I only apply the third strategy, and they can not be high amounts of carbs. I will use oatmeal/toasts and Nesquik Cereal or similar.
 
Reboost my metabolism. My carbs are getting low. I'm at 152g. Off days is 91. Carbs will be getting lower as time goes. I have always kept it pretty clean. White rice, maybe a pretzel, cream of rice, and I have done it with a meal of kids ceral and sweet potatoes

Right now leaning towards a meal of low fat bagels, pretzel and all the other meals rice
 
Reboost my metabolism.

I do not buy that theory, I do not think that 1 day or 2 with carbs can do much for your metabolism after months in a fat loss program.

Also, if you are not in Ceto, you have less reason to loads.

Agreed on the low fat.

Try one week processed carbs only and the next complex carbs. See how you feel and look after both. Then depending on that you can try combining both.
 
Keep it clean.... I like either cream of rice or sweet potatoes.... I also will do a decent size bowl of berries...

Thats it! As clean as possible. Im not a fan of these fast food massacres lol

I like white rice with pineapple in it. Or just oats with berries.
 
Are you competing? If not I wouldn't be overly strict and just pick something you love to eat. I do have refeeds and prefer to keep them clean. Sometimes that goes out the window and it's a burger and fries with dessert. The main thing for me is I keep it to 1 meal and don't start binging afterwards.
 
sometimes fats also help. try it for yourself, if you are very depleted and deserve refeed you wont get fat with or without fat in the meal
