Reflux from Weight gain

Man, look a few posts above. The author clearly said he has SIBO and Helicobacter, and you’re recommending probiotics and sodium arginine? You must be joking.

You should really avoid giving advice like that. With those conditions, it would be like what I mentioned earlier with glutamine, basically pouring gasoline on the fire.

Any idea as to why? Like individually any of those absolutely suck but all at once that’s quite something I would think?

i did a dirty bulk for a short duration but even before that I was still dealing with terrible GI issues. My DR says I’ve likely had this for a long time but he says it’s not from anabolic use.
 
So lots of bodybuilders deal with acid reflux but it comes a point where I don't think it’s from food choices/drugs but being too overweight.

When I go to bed I wake up choking from the reflux and have to take 10-20mg Pepcid to get back to bed.

I know the Pronton pump inhibitors cause nutrient deficiency’s , but short term they seem necessary.

Any suggestions?
Don’t take PPI’s at all. They’re awful for you.
Take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda with a small glass of water in between meals. If it really bad start your mornings off with it. Problem will go away fast.
 
If this guy’s got H. pylori, he just needs to run the standard protocol to get rid of it.

Usually it’s a PPI for months plus a couple antibiotics.

My dad did it, but his gut was never the same after — now he’s super sensitive to pretty much everything he eats.

I noticed that after COVID shots my gut changed forever for the worst, and now I try to follow a LOW FODMAP diet as much as I can.
 
I’ve dealt with acid indigestion for sometime now! Actually waking up several times at night choking on acid! One night it was coming up my nose! Shit was horrible! I’m also on 2 acid reflux meds at the moment also. I’m currently on a cut. I’ve lost 30lbs and probably lowest body fat I’ve been in years (thank you Reta & HGH)!! On this cut I quit eating about 3 hrs before bed (which I wouldn’t have been able to without the Reta). I also wake up and workout on empty stomach. No more acid reflux! I’m not sure if it’s from losing weight or not eating before bed! Ether way I’ll take it!
